The 2015–16 season was Ipswich Town F.C., Ipswich Town's 14th consecutive season in the English football league system, second tier of English football and 138th year in existence. Along with competing in the Championship, the club also participated in the FA Cup and Football League Cup, League Cup. The season covered the period from 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2016. This was to be Mick McCarthy's third full season as manager, having taken charge in November 2012. In January both McCarthy and his assistant Terry Connor extended their contracts with the club until the summer of 2018. Ipswich () is a port town and Borough status in the United Kingdom, borough in Suffolk, England. Terence Fitzroy Connor (born 9 November 1962) is an English football coach and former professional association football, footballer who is currently a coach at Dagenham & Redbridge F.C., Dagenham & Redbridge. Cole Skuse (born 29 March 1986) is an English former footballer who played as a midfielder. He is currently the manager of Bury Town. He started his footballing career at Bristol City, where he graduated from the club's academy and went on to make over 300 appearances in all competitions in a nine-year spell with the club. Ainsley Cory Maitland-Niles (born 29 August 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder or right-back for club Lyon. Christophe Didier Berra (born 31 January 1985) is a Scottish professional football former player and coach. Berra began his professional career with Heart of Midlothian, playing 146 times for them before he moved to England in 2009 in a £2.5 million transfer to Wolverhampton Wanderers. Luke Chambers (born 28 September 1985) is an English former professional footballer who played as a defender. Primarily a centre back, he could also play at right back.
