2015–16 Greek Handball Premier
The 2015–16 Greek Handball Premier is the 37th season of the Greek Men's Handball Championship, Greek Handball Premier. Teams The clubs for the 2015–16 season: Regular season Pld – Played; W – Won; D – Drawn; L – Lost; GF – Goals for; GA – Goals against; Diff – Difference; Pts – Points. Second round In the second round, the teams were divided into two groups of six (based on their regular season standings) and competed for places 1 to 6 in the first group, and for places 7 to 12 in the second. Teams started the second round with their regular season points halved (and rounded up) and faced each other once. In the 1–6 group, the teams started with the following points: Diomidis 20 points, Filippos 18, PAOK 16, DIKEAS Nea Ionia 14, Poseidon Loutrakiou 12, ASE Douka 11. Greek Men's Handball Championship
The Greek Men's Handball Championship, or Handball Premier, is the most important competition of Greek handball. The competition which is organised by Hellenic Handball Federation (Greek: ΟΧΕ) started in the 1979–80 season. The most successful team is Ionikos Nea Filadelfeia who has won ten titles. The last title was won by Olympiacos H.C., Olympiacos. Evangelos Kalfarentzos, fitness director of Panellinios Gymnastikos Syllogos (Panellinios Gymnastikos Syllogos, Panhellenic Gymnastic Club) of Athens, physical education teacher, and author, recognized as rapporteur of the sport in Greece. Competition format The season begins with a tournament between the twelve teams. The first six teams qualify for a play-off round, while the last three play play-out. The top two teams of the play-off round qualify directly to the semifinals, while the other four play the top two teams of the play-out round in the quarterfinals. 2023/24 Season participants The following 12 clubs compete in ...
