The 2015–16 Boston Bruins season was the 92nd season for the National Hockey League franchise that was established on November 1, 1924. The season began its regular games on October 8, 2015, against the Winnipeg Jets with a 6–2 loss. One all-time franchise achievement the Bruins attained this season is shared by only their greatest rival, the Canadiens - a total of 3,000 wins in the team's existence, achieved by the Bruins on January 8, 2016, in a 4–1 road victory against the New Jersey Devils. However, the Bruins missed the playoffs for the second straight season, and missed the playoffs in back-to-back years for the first time in a decade. Atlantic Division (NHL)
The Atlantic Division is a name used by the National Hockey League to describe a division of teams in the Eastern Conference (NHL), Eastern Conference. The original Atlantic Division, the predecessor of which was the Patrick Division, was formed in 1993 as part of the Eastern Conference in a league realignment. As part of a 2013 realignment, the entirety of the former Atlantic Division was realigned into the Metropolitan Division. New Jersey Devils
The New Jersey Devils are a professional ice hockey team based in Newark, New Jersey. The Devils compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Metropolitan Division in the Eastern Conference (NHL), Eastern Conference. The club was founded as the Kansas City Scouts in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1974–75 NHL season, 1974. Rasmus Ristolainen (born 27 October 1994) is a Finnish professional ice hockey defenceman for the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected eighth overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2013 NHL entry draft. 61st National Hockey League All-Star Game
The 2016 National Hockey League All-Star Game was held on January 31, 2016. The game was held in Nashville, Tennessee, at Bridgestone Arena, home of the Nashville Predators. This was Nashville's first time hosting the NHL All-Star Game. For this edition, the all-star game was replaced with a four-team, three-on-three, single-elimination tournament, with one team representing each of the league's four divisions. The all-stars from the Pacific Division won the four-team tournament. Mark Borowiecki
Mark Borowiecki (pronounced ; born July 12, 1989) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. He ended his career with the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was the first Ottawa native to be drafted by the Ottawa Senators when he was selected 139th overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. Fans have nicknamed him "Boro Cop". Playing career Amateur Borowiecki played two seasons of junior hockey with the Smiths Falls Bears of the Central Junior Hockey League (CJHL) from 2006 until 2008. The Ottawa Senators (), officially the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club and colloquially known as the Sens, are a professional ice hockey team based in Ottawa. Jiří Tlustý (born 16 March 1988) is a Czech former professional ice hockey left winger. He was originally a first-round draft pick of the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, and split time between the Maple Leafs and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League (AHL) until he was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes in December 2009. Maxime Talbot (born February 11, 1984) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey centre who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Philadelphia Flyers, Colorado Avalanche and Boston Bruins. Gabriel Landeskog (; born 23 November 1992) is a Swedish professional ice hockey winger (ice hockey), left winger and Captain (ice hockey), captain of the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League (NHL).
