2015–16 Biathlon World Cup
The 2015–16 Biathlon World Cup was a multi-race tournament over a season of biathlon, organised by the International Biathlon Union. The season began on 29 November 2015 in Östersund, Sweden, and ended on 19 March 2016 in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia. The defending overall champions from the 2014–15 Biathlon World Cup were Martin Fourcade of France and Darya Domracheva of Belarus, but Domracheva missed the season due to illness. Gabriela Soukalová, formerly Koukalová () (born 1 November 1989 in Jablonec nad Nisou, Czechoslovakia) is a former Czech biathlete and television presenter for TV Prima. She won three Olympic medals at the 2014 Sochi Games and she is a two-time World Championship winner, gold medalist at the 2015 Kontiolahti in mixed relay and gold medalist at 2017 Hochfilzen in 7.5 km sprint. In the 2015/2016 World Cup season she was overall champion, and she has also taken six discipline Crystal Globes: the 2013/2014 individual title, the 2015/2016 sprint, pursuit and mass-start titles, and the 2016/17 sprint and mass start titles. Olena Bilosiuk (, née Olena Pidhrushna (; born 9 January 1987) is a Ukrainian biathlete. She is Olympic and World champion and multiple medalist in different high-level competitions. Pidhrushna is considered one of Ukraine's most successful winter sports athletes. She lives in Ternopil. Yuliia Valentynivna Dzhyma (; born 19 September 1990) is a Ukrainian World Cup level biathlete. She is Olympic champion in women's relay, multiple World championships medalist. She is one of the most successful Ukrainian biathletes of the 2010s. Career She took up biathlon in Kyiv, where she lives. Marie Dorin Habert (born 19 June 1986) is a retired French biathlete. Career She became junior world champion in relay (2004 and 2005). She represented France at the 2010 Winter Olympics. She was also on the bronze medal-winning French relay team at the Biathlon World Championships 2009. Dorin won a bronze in the women's 7.5 km sprint on 13 February 2010 and a silver in the relay.
