2015–16 All-Ireland Intermediate Club Hurling Championship
The 2015–16 All-Ireland Intermediate Club Hurling Championship is the 12th staging of the All-Ireland Intermediate Club Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's secondary inter-county club hurling tournament. The championship began on 4 October 2015 and ended on 7 February 2016. The All-Ireland final was played on 7 January 2016 at Croke Park in Dublin, between Bennettsbridge from Kilkenny and Abbeyknockmoy from Galway, in what was their first ever meeting in the final. Bennettsbridge won the match by 1-17 to 1-14 to claim their first All-Ireland title in this grade, having won the All-Ireland Club JHC title in 2015. Bennettsbridge's Nicky Cleere was the championship's top scorer with 0-33. Johnny Kelly (hurler)
Johnny Kelly (born 1971) is an Irish hurling manager and former player who is the current manager of the Offaly senior hurling team. He previously managed a range of club sides, having played club hurling with Portumna. Playing career Kelly played hurling while at secondary school at Portumna Community School. He captained the school's senior team to a Ryan Cup victory over St Raphael's College in 1989. Kelly's performances at school level earned a call-up to inter-county level with Galway and he was part of the minor team in 1989. After lining out in the juvenile and underage ranks with the Portumna club, Kelly eventually progressed to adult level. He was part of the Portumna side that beat Kilconieron to win the Galway IHC title in 1992. Kelly's club career ended with All-Ireland Club SHC success as a member of the Portumna team's extended panel when they beat Newtownshandrum in the 2006 All-Ireland club final. Munster Intermediate Club Hurling Championship
The Munster Intermediate Club Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the AIB Munster GAA Hurling Intermediate Club Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Munster GAA, Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association and contested by the champion intermediate clubs in the province of Munster in Ireland. It is the most prestigious competition for intermediate clubs in Munster hurling. The Munster Intermediate Club Championship was introduced in 2003. In its current format, the championship begins in late October or early November and is usually played over a four-week period. Nowlan Park (; ), known for sponsorship reasons as UPMC Nowlan Park, is the principal Gaelic Athletic Association stadium in Kilkenny, Ireland. Named after James Nowlan, the longest serving President of the GAA, the stadium hosts major hurling matches and is home to the Kilkenny hurling team. It opened in 1927, replacing St. James Park. Naomh Éanna GAA ('Saint Enda’s') is a hurling, Gaelic football and camogie club based in Gorey, County Wexford, Ireland. History The Senior hurling and Senior Football club was founded in 1970 by a group of Christian Brothers and takes its name from Scoil Éanna, the school founded by Patrick Pearse. Kiltale GAA
Kiltale GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association hurling club based in Kiltale, in County Meath, Ireland. The club was founded in the early 1920s, then disbanded in 1934 but reformed in 1946. The club does not play Gaelic football; the county's football competitions are contested by the other club in the parish, Moynalvey. The club has won the Meath Senior Hurling Championship nine times, including in 2018, when it completed a five-in-a-row of county titles. It regularly features in the latter stages of that championship. Underage sides representing the club have won several county titles in lower age grades.
