2015–16 ACF Fiorentina Season
The 2015–16 season was the 89th season in ACF Fiorentina's history and their 78th in the top-flight of Italian football. Fiorentina finished the season in 5th place in Serie A, having topped the table early in the season. In the Coppa Italia, the club was eliminated in the round of 16, losing at home to newly promoted Carpi 1–0. Competing in the UEFA Europa League for the third season in a row, Fiorentina limped into second place in their group with a 3–1–2 record, and were eliminated in the Round of 32 by Tottenham Hotspur, 4–1 on aggregate. The 2015–16 season was also notable for being the first season since the 2011–12 season in which the club was not managed by Vincenzo Montella, who had achieved 4th-place finishes in each of his seasons with the club. Montella was replaced by Basel coach Paulo Sousa. Ciprian Tătărușanu
Anton Ciprian Tătărușanu (; born 9 February 1986) is a Romanian former professional football player, footballer who played as a goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper. He started his senior career in Romania with ASC Daco-Getica București, Juventus București, going on to represent AF Gloria Bistrița, Gloria Bistrița and FCSB, FC Steaua București in the country. Manuel Pasqual (; born 13 March 1982) is a retired Italian professional footballer who played for the Italy national team. He is an offensive left-back who is well known for his crossing ability. He is also capable of playing as a wide midfielder or as wing-back on the left in a 3–5–2 formation. Davide Astori
Davide Astori (; 7 January 1987 – 4 March 2018) was an Italian professional footballer who played as a central defender. After playing youth football for Pontisola and AC Milan, Astori started his senior career at Serie C clubs Pizzighettone and Cremonese, playing one season for each while on loan from Milan. In 2008, Cagliari signed him in a co-ownership deal, before signing him fully from Milan, for whom he never made a first team appearance, in 2011. He later spent loan spells at Roma and Fiorentina, before signing with the latter club permanently in 2016; he was subsequently named the team's captain in 2017. ACF Fiorentina Youth Sector () comprises the under-20 team and the academy of Italian professional football club ACF Fiorentina. The side currently compete in the Campionato Primavera 1, which they have won three times, and the Coppa Italia Primavera, which they won eight times. Additionally, they have won the Supercoppa Primavera three times, most recently in 2022.
