The Sigulda Bobsleigh and Luge Track () is located in Sigulda, Latvia, built in 1986. Dominik Fischnaller (born 20 February 1993) is an Italian luger who has competed since 2002. He has won silver and two bronze medals at Junior World Championships. Fischnaller won the Junior Luge World Cup for the 2010–11 season. His best Luge World Cup overall finish was third 2013–14 Luge World Cup. He competed in the 2006, 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympics, and won a silver medal in the men's doubles event in 2010 and two bronze medals in 2014, alongside his teammate and elder brother Juris Šics. Georg Fischler (born 3 July 1985 in Hall in Tirol) is an Austrian former luger who competed between 2003 and 2018. He and doubles partner Peter Penz took two medals at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyongchang: a silver in the doubles competition and a bronze in the team relay. They were also gold medallists in the doubles at the 2012 European Luge Championships in Paramonovo. In addition the pair took six medals at the FIL World Luge Championships: four in the doubles and two in mixed team competitions. Christopher Mazdzer (; born June 26, 1988) is an American retired luger. At the 2018 Winter Olympics, he won the silver medal in the men's single luge, becoming the first non-European medalist in that event.
