2014–15 Samford Bulldogs Basketball Team
The 2014–15 Samford Bulldogs basketball team represented Samford University during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Bulldogs, led by first year head coach Scott Padgett, played their home games at the Pete Hanna Center and were members of the Southern Conference. They finished the season 13–19, 6–12 in SoCon play to finish in a three-way tie for seventh place. They lost in the first round of the SoContournament to UNC Greensboro. Scott Padgett
Scott Anthony Padgett (born April 19, 1976) is an American former professional basketball player and current assistant to the head coach for Mississippi State men's basketball. He was formerly the head coach at Samford University. He played for the National Basketball Association's Utah Jazz, Houston Rockets, New Jersey Nets and Memphis Grizzlies. High school Padgett was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. He played basketball at St. Xavier High School in Louisville, was recruited by head coach Rick Pitino and committed to play college basketball for the University of Kentucky. College Padgett saw limited playing time during his freshman season (1994–95) on a roster that included future NBA players Wayne Turner, Tony Delk, Rodrick Rhodes, Walter McCarty, Jeff Sheppard, Mark Pope and Antoine Walker. Petersen Events Center
The Petersen Events Center (more commonly known as "The Pete") is a 12,508-seat multi-purpose arena on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh in the Oakland neighborhood. The arena is named for philanthropists John Petersen and his wife Gertrude, who donated $10 million for its construction. Mackey Arena is located in West Lafayette, Indiana. Part of the Purdue University campus, it is home to the university's basketball teams, and occasionally hosts home games for the volleyball and wrestling teams. Homewood is a city in southeastern Jefferson County, Alabama, United States. It is a suburb of Birmingham, located on the other side of Red Mountain due south of the city center.
