2014–15 Oberliga
The 2014–15 season of the Oberliga was the seventh season of the Oberligas at tier five of the German football league system and the 41st season overall since reintroduction of the Oberligas in 1974. The regular season started in July 2014 and finished on 14 June 2015, followed by relegation and promotion play-offs. The Oberliga is organised in fourteen regional divisions with the league champions promoted to the level above, the Regionalligas while the relegated teams drop down to the Verbandsligas and Landesligas. Overview In the 2014–15 season 243 clubs compete in the Oberligas, two less than in the previous season. Of the fourteen league champions twelve were promoted to the Regionalliga while one, the Oberliga Hamburg champions TuS Dassendorf, declined promotion for the second year running. Rot Weiss Ahlen is a German football club based in Ahlen, North Rhine-Westphalia. Until 2006 the club was known as ''LR Ahlen'' for its major sponsor, but underwent a name change when the sponsor withdrew its support after the team was relegated to the Regionalliga (III) in that year. History The club has its roots in the local sides of the early 1900s formed by coalminers who played pickup games after work. In 1917, ''Freie Sportclub Union (FSCU) Ahlen'' was founded and became one of the region's best known teams, playing in the second tier leagues of the time. The rise of the Third Reich saw the club disbanded as over three-quarters of its members were foreigners making the side politically unpalatable to the regime. The SpVgg Unterhaching II was the reserve team of German football club SpVgg Unterhaching, from the Unterhaching suburb of the city of Munich, Bavaria. At times, the team played under the name of SpVgg Unterhaching Amateure but since 2005, it carries its current name. SV Wehen Wiesbaden II was a German association football club based in Wiesbaden, Germany. It was the reserve team of SV Wehen Wiesbaden. History SV Wehen Wiesbaden II were the reserve and under–23 team to 3. Liga side, SV Wehen Wiesbaden. The played at what used to be SV Wehen's old ground before they moved to Wiesbaden, Stadion am Halberg. They last play in the Hessenliga after finishing 16th in the Regionalliga Süd in 2011. FSV 63 Luckenwalde is a German football club based in Luckenwalde, Brandenburg, currently playing in the Regionalliga (IV). Regionalliga Nordost
The Regionalliga Nordost is the fourth tier of German football in the states of Berlin, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony-Anhalt, Saxony and Thuringia. These comprise the states of former East Germany as well as West Berlin. It is one of five leagues at the fourth tier, together with the Regionalliga Bayern, Regionalliga Südwest, Regionalliga Nord and the Regionalliga West. From 1994 to 2000 it was part of the third tier, until the first of many re-structurings of the league system. The last of these occurred in 2012, which saw the Regionalliga Nordost reinstated.
