The 2014–15 Ligue 1 (Ivory Coast), Ligue 1 is the 56th season of top-tier football in Ivory Coast, Côte d'Ivoire. The season began on 28 November 2014. Association Sportive Tanda, AS Tanda won their first league title, holding off ASEC Mimosas on the final day of the season. Entering with a one-point lead in the standings, Association Sportive Tanda, Tanda defeated CO Korhogo 2–1 at home to clinch the title even though ASEC Mimosas, ASEC got a 0–1 road win at Sporting Club de Gagnoa, Sporting Gagnoa to keep the pressure on. The league comprised 14 teams, the bottom two of which will be relegated to the 2016 Ligue 2 (Ivory Coast), Ligue 2. Bouaké and Stella Club d'Adjamé, Stella each entered the final day of the season needing a win and to make up a large goal differential to avoid relegation, but both suffered road losses to seal their fate. 2015–16 Ligue 1 (Ivory Coast)
The 2015–16 Ligue 1 is the 57th season of top-tier football in Côte d'Ivoire. The season began on 28 November 2015. AS Tanda defended their first league title, holding off Séwé Sport by going unbeaten in their last eight matches. The league comprised 14 teams, the bottom two of which, Korhogo and Yopougon, were relegated to the 2017 Ligue 2. Teams A total of 14 teams will contest the league, including 12 sides from the 2014–15 season and two promoted from the 2014–15 Ligue 2, Moossou FC and Yopougon FC. On the other hand, Bouaké FC and Stella Club d'Adjamé were the last two teams of the 2014–15 season and will play in Ligue 2 for the 2015-16 season. Yamoussoukro (; , locally ) is the capital city of Ivory Coast and an autonomous district. As of the 2014 census, Yamoussoukro is the fifth most populous city in the Ivory Coast, with a population of 212,670. Located north-west of Abidjan, the district of Yamoussoukro covers among rolling hills and plains. Bouaké (or Bwake, N'Ko script, N’ko: ߓߐ߰ߞߍ߫ ''Bɔ̀ɔkɛ́'') is the second-largest list of cities in Ivory Coast, city in Ivory Coast, with a population of 740,000 (2021 census). It is the seat of three levels of subdivisions of Ivory Coast, subdivision—Vallée du Bandama District, Gbêkê Region, and Bouaké Department. The city is located in the central part of Ivory Coast about northeast of Lake Kossou, the country's largest lake. Abengourou
Abengourou is a city in eastern Ivory Coast. It is the seat of both Comoé District and Indénié-Djuablin Region. It is also a commune and the seat of and a sub-prefecture of Abengourou Department. Abengourou is primarily populated by the Anyi ethnic group, a branch of the Akan people who migrated to the region from Ghana. In the 2021 census, the population of the sub-prefecture of Abengourou was 164,424. The city is served by Abengourou Airport. There is also the interior's largest hospital. There is an agricultural vocational training institute, along with a research station that specializes in the local crops of cocoa and coffee. These crops are then transported the to Abidjan for export. Within the city is the residence of the Anyi paramount chief, who is also the King of Indénié, a kingdom founded in the 18th century.
