Leinster Football Association
The Leinster Football Association (LFA) is the governing body for association football in the Irish province of Leinster. It is responsible for organizing the Leinster Senior Cup and the Leinster Senior League as well as numerous other leagues and cup competitions for junior and youth teams. It was founded in 1892 and is the oldest football association in what is now the Republic of Ireland. Outside of the United Kingdom, only the national football associations of Denmark and the Netherlands are older. Dundalk
Dundalk ( ; ) is the county town of County Louth, Ireland. The town is situated on the Castletown River, which flows into Dundalk Bay on the north-east coast of Ireland, and is halfway between Dublin and Belfast, close to and south of the border with Northern Ireland. Chris Shields
Chris Shields (born 27 December 1990) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Linfield in the Irish Premiership. He previously played for Bray Wanderers where he played for four seasons before joining Dundalk, where he remained for more than nine seasons. Shields won five Premier Division medals during his time with Dundalk, in addition to three FAI Cups. He featured regularly in European competition for the club and was part of the team that became only the second-ever Irish side to reach the group stage of the Europa League in 2016 as well as reaching the same stage in 2020. Kurtis Byrne
Kurtis Byrne (born 9 April 1990) is an Irish former professional footballer who plays for Collinstown FC. He is the son of former Celtic and Southend United player Paul Byrne. Career Hibernian Byrne was a member of the Hibernian under-19 side that won the league and cup double in the 2008–09 season. He scored the winning goal in both the decisive league match and the Youth Cup Final. Byrne was one of seven players in that side who were given professional contracts by Hibs following their success. Oriel Park
Oriel Park is a UEFA Category 2 football stadium located on the Carrickmacross Road in Dundalk, Ireland. The stadium is the home ground of Dundalk Football Club and is owned and operated by the club on land that has been leased from the Casey Family Trust since 1936. The ground has a capacity of 3,100 for European matches (i.e. 3,100 seats) and 4,500 for domestic games (i.e. with the remainder standing). Oriel Park's attendance record is an estimated 18,000, set in 1982 for Dundalk's European Cup Winners' Cup second round tie against Tottenham Hotspur F.C. Athlone Town AFC
Athlone Town Association Football Club is an Irish football club from Athlone who are playing in the League of Ireland. The club is the oldest in the League as it was founded in 1887. First elected to the League of Ireland in 1922, they play their home matches in Lissywollen, their new stadium which opened in 2007. The club's colours are blue and black. Longford Town Football Club is an Irish professional football club based in Longford, County Longford.
