2014–15 FC Augsburg Season
The 2014–15 FC Augsburg season was the 108th season in the football club's history and fourth consecutive season in the top flight of German football, the Bundesliga, having been promoted from the 2. Bundesliga in 2011. FC Augsburg also participated in the season's edition of the DFB-Pokal. It was the sixth season for FC Augsburg in the SGL arena. Having finished fifth in Bundesliga, FC Augsburg also qualified for the UEFA Europa League for the first time in the club's history. They will enter at the group stage. The DFB-Pokal (), also known as the German Cup in English language, English, is a German knockout Association football, football cup competition held annually by the German Football Association (DFB). Sixty-four teams participate in the competition, including all clubs from the Bundesliga and the 2. Bundesliga along with the four best teams from the 3. Liga. It is considered the second-most important club title in German football after the Bundesliga championship. Taking place from August until May, the winner qualifies for the DFL-Supercup and the UEFA Europa League unless the winner already qualifies for the UEFA Champions League in the Bundesliga. Daniel Baier
Daniel Baier (; born 18 May 1984) is a German former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Baier is a legend of FC Augsberg who spent his entire career in Germany. Shawn Parker (born 7 March 1993) is a German former professional footballer who played as a forward. Club career Mainz 05 Parker made his Bundesliga debut on 27 October 2012 as a late substitute against Hoffenheim. Markus Feulner (, born 12 February 1982) is a German former professional footballer who mainly played as a midfielder. Halil Altıntop (; born 8 December 1982) is a Turkish former professional footballer. During his playing days, he was deployed as an attacking midfielder, centre-forward, or winger. Ragnar Klavan (born 30 October 1985) is an Estonian former professional footballer who played as a defender. A left-footed centre back, he also played as a left back during his career. Dominik Reinhardt (born 19 December 1984) is a German football manager and former player. Career At Bayer Leverkusen, where his father played at that time, he started playing football. Paul Johannes Gerardus Verhaegh (born 1 September 1983) is a former Dutch professional Association football, footballer who played as a right-back.
