Central Coast Mariners Football Club is an Australian professional soccer club based in Gosford, on the Central Coast (New South Wales), Central Coast of New South Wales. It competes in the A-League, A-League Men, under Professional sports league organization#Systems around the world, licence from the Australian Professional Leagues (APL). The Mariners were founded in 2004 and are one of the eight original A-League teams. It is the first professional sports club from the Gosford region to compete in a national competition. Anthony Richard Caceres (; born 29 September 1992) is an Australian soccer player who plays as a central midfielder for Sydney FC and the Australia men's national team. Career Central Coast Mariners Caceres made his A-League debut for the Central Coast Mariners in the F3 Derby against the Newcastle Jets, starting in a scoreless draw in January 2013. Nick Montgomery
Nicholas Anthony Montgomery (born 28 October 1981) is a football coach and a former player. He is was recently an assistant coach at English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur. A defensive midfielder, Montgomery spent the majority of his career with Sheffield United, making 398 appearances across twelve seasons. Towards the end of his time in England, he had a short spell on loan with Millwall. In 2012, he moved to Australia to play for Central Coast Mariners, and became club captain in 2015. After leaving the Mariners in 2017, he went on to play for Wollongong Wolves for two seasons. Zachary Michael Anderson (born 30 April 1991) is a retired Australian professional football player who played as a centre back. He currently works for the Brisbane Roar FC as their Chief Operating Officer. Jacob Robert Poscoliero (born 11 April 1990) is an Australian footballer who last played as a central defender/defensive midfielder for South Coast Flame FC. Storm James Roux ( ; born 13 January 1993) is a professional footballer who plays as a right back for A-League Men club Central Coast Mariners. Born in South Africa, he plays for the New Zealand national team. Matthew Ian Nash (born 3 April 1981) is a former Australian goalkeeper and current goalkeeping coach for Sydney FC in the A-League. Club career Nash played for Port Kembla FC in the Illawarra League, before moving to NSW Premier League side APIA Leichhardt Tigers in 2007.
