2014–15 1. Liga Promotion
The 2014–15 season of the 1. Liga Promotion, the third tier of the Swiss football league system, was the third season of the league. The season started on 5 August 2015 and finished on 28 May 2016. The league was won by Neuchâtel Xamax who was promoted to the Challenge League while FC Locarno and SR Delémont were relegated to the 1. Liga Promotion. Table The 2014–15 season saw three new clubs in the league, FC Rapperswil-Jona and Neuchâtel Xamax, both promoted from the 1. FC Tuggen is a Swiss football club from the town of Tuggen in Canton Schwyz, the German-speaking region of Switzerland. The club was founded in 1966 and currently plays in 1. Liga Promotion, the third highest tier in the Swiss football pyramid. History The club was founded on 11 November 1966 as SC Tuggen. In 1976 the club changed its name to FC Tuggen. FC Baden is a Swiss football club based in Baden, Canton Aargau, which is a short distance from Zürich. It was founded in 1897. FC Gossau is a Swiss football club from the city of Gossau in the canton of St. Gallen. It currently plays in the Challenge League, the second-highest level of Swiss football. The away goals rule is a method of tiebreaking in association football and other sports when teams play each other twice, once at each team's home ground. Under the away goals rule, if the total goals scored by each team are equal, the team that has scored more goals " away from home" wins. This is sometimes expressed by saying that away goals "count double" in the event of a tie, though in practice the team with more away goals is simply recorded as the victor, rather than having additional or 'double' goals added to their total.
