2014 Ykkönen
The 2014 Ykkönen began on 27 April 2014 and ended on 4 October 2014. The winning team was directly promoted to the 2015 Veikkausliiga, 2015 Veikkausliiga. The bottom two teams were relegated to Kakkonen. ''Ykkönen'' (Finnish language, Finnish for 'Number One'; , previously I divisioona) is the third highest level of the Finnish football league system (after the Veikkausliiga and Ykkösliiga), managed by the Football Association of Finland. Until the end of 2023, ''Ykkönen'' was the second-highest level in Finland, but after the creation of new second-tier Ykkösliiga, it was dropped down one level in the league pyramid. Vuosaari sports ground (, also known as Heteniitty) is a football and athletics ground in Vuosaari, Helsinki. It is the home ground of the East Helsinki football club FC Viikingit, who play in the Finnish first division (''Ykkönen''). In addition, the athletics field is used by Viipurin Urheilijat. The ground currently has a capacity of approximately 1,500 spectators, but it was expanded to 3,500 seats in the 2007 season, when Viikingit played in the Finnish premier division. Seinäjoen Jalkapallokerho, commonly referred to as SJK, also internationally SJK Seinäjoki, is a Finland, Finnish professional association football, football club from the city of Seinäjoki. Oulun Palloseura (OPS) is a Finnish professional football club based in Oulu. Founded in 1925, the club is currently competing in the Finnish fourth tier – Kolmonen. History The original Oulun Palloseura (''Oulu Ball Club'') was founded in 1925. Contemporary club which is now called Oulun Palloseura dates back to 2006, when a third-tier club called ''FC Dreeverit'' was cleared to use the name ''OPS-jp''. AC Kajaani
AC Kajaani was a association football, football club from Kajaani, Finland. The club was formed in 2006 after the merger of FC Tarmo and Kajaanin Palloilijat (KaPa). Their home ground was Kajaanin Liikuntapuisto. The men's football first team last played in the Ykkönen (the second highest level of football in Finland). The club dissolved in December 2020 following their relegation from the Ykkönen. History AC Kajaani was founded in 2006 by a merger of KaPa Kajaani, Kajaanin Palloilijat (KaPa -- "Kajaani Ballers") and FC Tarmo. The newly merged club took over FC Tarmo's place in the Kolmonen—the fourth tier of the Finnish soccer league system—in the Northern Finland group. Arvo Toivainen was the chairman of the club.
