Västernorrland County () is a county ('' län'') in the north of Sweden. It is bordered by the counties of Gävleborg, Jämtland, Västerbotten and the Gulf of Bothnia. Örnsköldsvik Municipality (; ) is one of Sweden's 290 Municipalities of Sweden, municipalities, in Västernorrland County in northern Sweden. Its seat is in the town Örnsköldsvik. The present municipality was created in 1971 by the amalgamation of the ''City of Örnsköldsvik'' with seven former rural municipalities. Geography Örnsköldsvik is situated near the northern end of the "Höga Kusten, High Coast", which is a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, UNESCO World Heritage Site and has the third longest suspension bridge in Europe, the Höga Kusten Bridge. Ånge Municipality () is a Municipalities of Sweden, municipality in Västernorrland County, northern Sweden. Its seat is located in Ånge. The railway junction Ånge was in 1947 made a market town (''köping'') and detached from ''Borgsjö''. In 1971 they were reunited and together with ''Haverö'' and ''Torp'' the present municipality was formed. The municipal most known slogan is ''Sweden's geographical center''. Timrå Municipality () is a municipality in Västernorrland County, Sweden. The town of Timrå is the municipal seat. The rural municipality ''Timrå'' was made a market town (''köping'') in 1947. Sollefteå Municipality
Sollefteå Municipality () is a Swedish municipality in Västernorrland County. Its seat is located in Sollefteå. The former ''City of Sollefteå'' (instituted in 1917) was amalgamated with the surrounding entities in 1974 to form the present municipality. It consists of fifteen original (1863) units. Historically, the name is found as early as the 13th century in the form of the Latin ''De Solatum'', which would translate to "The Sunny Place" (or so). A market place was situated here in 1602 on Royal permission. The city's coat of arms depicts a Black Grouse. Kramfors Municipality
Kramfors Municipality () is a municipality in Västernorrland County, northern Sweden. Its seat is located in the town Kramfors. The rural municipality of ''Gudmundrå'' was in 1947 made one of the last administrative cities of Sweden and got the name Kramfors from an industrial settlement. In 1952 many of the surrounding entities were grouped into larger municipalities. The nationwide reform in 1971 made Kramfors a unitary municipality, but the amalgamation process was not fulfilled until 1974. The number of original units within the present municipality is eleven, including Bjärtrå. The municipality features the Sandö Bridge, crossing the Ångerman River. It is a concrete bridge in one span, and with a length of 264 meters it was the longest of that kind from its inauguration 1943 to 1964.
