2014 FIBA Under-17 World Championship
The 2014 FIBA Under-17 World Championship (Arabic: بطولة العالم لكرة السلة 2014 تحت 17 سنة ) was the 3rd edition of the FIBA Under-17 World Championship, the biennial international men's youth basketball championship contested by the U17 national teams of the member associations of FIBA. It was hosted by Dubai, United Arab Emirates from 8 to 16 August 2014. This edition of the tournament was also expanded to sixteen teams. The preliminary round took place in Al-Ahli Arena and Al-Wasl Arena, with the Hamdan Sports Complex hosting the final round. This was the first FIBA U17 World Championship that was held outside of Europe. The United States won their third consecutive title by defeating Australia, in a rematch of the last edition, 99–92 in the final. The 2013 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship was the 27th edition of the European Under-16 Basketball Championship. 16 teams participated in the competition, which was held in Kyiv, Ukraine, from 8 to 18 August 2013. Harry Giles (basketball)
Harry Lee Giles III (born April 22, 1998) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Shanxi Loongs of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). He played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils. High school career Freshman and sophomore seasons Giles attended Wesleyan Christian Academy in High Point, North Carolina, where he was coached by Keith Gatlin. As a freshman, Giles averaged 12.5 points per game and 9.5 rebounds per game after leading Wesleyan Christian to a 2013 NCISAA 3A State Championship alongside Dallas Mavericks shooting guard Theo Pinson. Giles missed his entire sophomore year due to a left knee injury. During the 2014 summer, Giles would return from injury joining Team CP3 on the EYBL circuit. Diamond Stone
Diamond Louis Stone (born February 10, 1997) is an American professional basketball player for the Zavkhan Brothers of The League. He played one season of college basketball for Maryland before being drafted 40th overall in the 2016 NBA draft by the New Orleans Pelicans. High school career Stone attended Dominican High School in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin. As a senior, he averaged 24.4 points and 11.7 rebounds per game. He finished his career with 2,193 points. During his four years, he helped lead Dominican to four-straight WIAA Division 4 state championships.
