2014 Belgian Government Formation
Following the simultaneous Belgian federal election, 2014, federal elections and Belgian regional elections, 2014, regional elections of 25 May 2014, negotiations started to Government formation, form a new Cabinet of Belgium, Federal Government as well as new regional governments: a Flemish Government, Flemish, Walloon Government, Walloon, Government of the French Community, French Community and Government of the Brussels-Capital Region, Brussels Government. Federal elections were held in Belgium on 25 May 2014. All 150 members of the Chamber of Representatives were elected, whereas the Senate was no longer directly elected following the 2011–2012 state reform. Philippe (born 15 April 1960) is King of the Belgians. He is the eldest child of King Albert II and Queen Paola. The flag of the Brussels-Capital Region of Belgium consists of a stylized yellow, grey and white iris on a blue background. This is the flag of the whole Brussels Region, and the City of Brussels municipality has a different flag. The first flag was adopted by the Capital Region in 1991.
