2014 Asian Junior Badminton Championships – Mixed Doubles
The Mixed Doubles tournament of the 2014 Asian Junior Badminton Championships was held from February 19–23 in Taipei, Taiwan. The defending champion of the last edition were the South Korean pair Choi Sol-kyu and Chae Yoo-jung. Last year bronze medalist, and standing in the top seeds Huang Kaixiang and Chen Qingchen of China emerge as the champion after beat the second seeded from South Korea Kim Jung-ho and Kong Hee-yong in the finals with the score 21–14, 21–13. Taipei Gymnasium
The Taipei Gymnasium () is a gymnasium in Songshan District, Taipei, Taiwan. History The gymnasium was opened in 1994 and renovated in 2008. Architecture The gymnasium is housed in a 7-story building with a total floor area of 5,128 m2. It consists of facilities and equipment for ball games, conference room, audio center, classrooms for martial arts and aerobic, offices, badminton and billiard room. Ball games area has 1,340 seating capacity and badminton area has 1,000 seating capacity. The building also consists of two basement floors. Kim Hye-jeon
Kim Hye-jeong (; born 3 January 1998) is a South Korean badminton player. She has shown her potential as a badminton player since she was young. Kim entered the regular training in the second grade of elementary school in Wanwol-dong, Masan, and was part of the school team that won the junior national championships in 2008. She twice won the German Junior Open in 2014 and 2015 in the girls' doubles event, and clinched two titles at the 2015 Thailand Open in the girls' and mixed doubles event. Kim was part of the national junior team that won the mixed team silver medal at the 2014 and 2015 Asian Junior Championships, and in the individual event, she claim the mixed doubles bronze in 2014, and 2015 silver and bronze medals in the girls' and mixed doubles event respectively. At the 2016 World Junior Championships, she finished in the semifinals, and settled for the bronze medal. Kim joined the MG Saemaeul team in 2016, and selected to join the national team in 2018.
