2014 Asian Junior Badminton Championships – Girls Singles
The Girls' Singles tournament of the 2014 Asian Junior Badminton Championships was held from February 19–23 in Taipei, Taiwan. The defending champions of the last edition was Aya Ohori from Japan. Ohori competed in this event as the first seeds, but she was beaten by the eventual silver medalist Chen Yufei from China in the third round. Akane Yamaguchi of Japan claim the title after beat Chen in the final with the score 21–10, 21–15. The second and fifth seeded Busanan Ongbumrungpan of Thailand and Liang Xiaoyu of Singapore finished in the semi-finals round, settle for the bronze medal. Taipei Gymnasium
The Taipei Gymnasium () is a gymnasium in Songshan District, Taipei, Taiwan. History The gymnasium was opened in 1994 and renovated in 2008. Architecture The gymnasium is housed in a 7-story building with a total floor area of 5,128 m2. It consists of facilities and equipment for ball games, conference room, audio center, classrooms for martial arts and aerobic, offices, badminton and billiard room. Ball games area has 1,340 seating capacity and badminton area has 1,000 seating capacity. The building also consists of two basement floors. Kisona Selvaduray
Kisona Selvaduray (born 1 October 1998) is a Malaysian badminton player. She was the bronze medalist at the 2013 Asian Youth Games in the women's singles category. She won her first senior international title at the Indonesia International Series tournament in the women's singles event. She also won gold medal twice in the Malaysia International Series tournament in 2017 and 2018. On top of that, she dominated the women's singles in 2019 SEA Games. Career In 2013, Kisona won the bronze medal at the Asian Youth Games beating compatriot Ho Yen Mei in the bronze medal match. Kisona won her first senior international title at the 2017 Indonesia International, and then won back-to-back Malaysia International Series in 2017 and 2018. Natsuki Nidaira
is a Japanese badminton player. She is currently a member of the Yonex badminton club. Career Nidaira came from the Mito, Ibaraki, and started playing badminton at aged five. Since the elementary school she has won several national championships, and in 2009, she joined the Japanese junior team. In 2013, she competed at the U-17 Asian Junior Championships, and won the girls' singles gold. After graduating from high school, she joined the Tonami Transportation team. Nidaira was part of the Japanese U-19 team, that won the mixed team bronze medal at the 2014, 2016 World Junior Championships, and in the girls' singles event in 2015.
