2013–14 Rwanda National Football League
The 2013–14 Rwanda National Football League (known as the Bralirwa, Turbo King National Football League for sponsorship reasons) was the 37th season of the Rwanda National Football League since it began play in 1975. The season began on 28 September 2013 and concluded on 4 May 2014. Rayon Sports F.C., Rayon Sports were the defending champions, having won their 7th title the 2012–13 Primus National Football League, previous season against the Greely team. Armée Patriotique Rwandaise F.C., Armée Patriotique Rwandaise (A.P.R.) won a record 14th title, having finished at the top of the table with 64 points, and represented Rwanda in the 2015 CAF Champions League. Rwanda National Football League
The Rwanda Premier League is the highest division of football in Rwanda. The league was formed in 1975. It was known as the Primus National Football League in 2004 and from 2009–10 Rwanda National Football League, 2009–10 to 2012–13 Rwanda National Football League, 2012–13, after which sponsorship was taken over by Bralirwa, Turbo King. The league was renamed the Azam Rwanda Premier League for the 2015–16 Rwanda National Football League, 2015–16 season after Tanzanian television broadcasters Azam TV were announced as sponsors in a deal worth United States dollar, US$ 2.35 million covering five years. From 2019/the 2020 season Azam TV announced the termination of its contract with Rwanda FA. Amagaju Football Club is an association football club from Nyamagabe District Southern Province, Rwanda. The team currently competes in the Rwanda National Football League, and plays its home games at the Stade de Nyamagabe known as Nyagisenyi.professional football club based in Nyamagabe District. Ruhengeri
Ruhengeri, also known as Musanze or Muhoza, is the third largest city in Rwanda and the capital of Musanze District in the Northern Province of Rwanda. Butare
Butare (), also known as Huye and formerly known as Astrida, is a city with a population of 62,823 (2022 census) in the Southern Province of Rwanda and the capital of Huye district. Gisenyi
Gisenyi, historically rendered as Kisenyi, is the second largest city in Rwanda, located in the Rubavu district in Rwanda's Western Province. Gisenyi is contiguous with Goma as it was formerly also part of now Democratic Republic of the Congo, the city across the border in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Overview The city features a resort on the shores of Lake Kivu, with several hotels and three sandy beaches. The area is also known for water sports. Cyangugu (formerly Shangugu) is a city and capital of the Rusizi District in Western Province, Rwanda. Gikongoro
Gikongoro is a city in Nyamagabe district, Southern Province, Rwanda. It was previously part of Gikongoro Province, which has been disestablished. Gikongoro province was founded by the newly independent Rwandan state shortly after it gained freedom from Belgium in 1962. It was designed to undermine control of the Tutsi who had a stronghold in nearby Nyanza. Before the genocide in 1993, Gikongo city had a population of under 10,000. Human Rights Watch has described Gikongoro town and province at the time of the genocide as "largely incoherent."
