2013–14 Real Madrid Castilla Season
The 2013–14 season will be the 42nd season in Real Madrid Castilla's history (since its ''establishment'' in 1972) and their 2nd consecutive season (22nd overall) in the Segunda División, the second division of Spanish football. It covers a period from 1 July 2013 to 30 June 2014. Season overview Pre-season Real Madrid Castilla started the summer with key players leaving the team. On 10 June, Real Madrid announced the signing of former loanee Casemiro from São Paulo for €6 million. On 13 June, Juanfran signed with Real Betis on a free transfer. Real Madrid Castilla Club de Fútbol is a Spanish football team that plays in . It is Real Madrid's reserve team. They play their home games at the Alfredo Di Stéfano Stadium with a capacity of 6,000 seats. Reserve teams in Spain play in the same league system as their senior team rather than a separate league. Reserve teams, however, cannot play in the same division as their senior team. Therefore, Real Madrid Castilla are ineligible for promotion to the La Liga as long as Real Madrid plays there. Consequently, they must play at least one level below their main side and they are not eligible to play in the Copa del Rey. In addition, only under-23 players, or under-25 players with a professional contract, can switch between senior and reserve teams. José Ignacio Peleteiro Ramallo (born 16 June 1991), commonly known as Jota and Jota Peleteiro, is a Spanish former professional Association football, footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. A product of the Celta de Vigo, Celta Vigo youth system, he only played a handful of times for club's first team, despite appearing regularly for Celta de Vigo B, Celta B. He had a loan (sports), loan spell with Real Madrid Castilla in 2012–13 and helped SD Eibar, Eibar gain promotion to La Liga while on loan in the 2013–14 Segunda División, 2013–14 season. Jaime Romero Gómez (born 31 July 1990) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a left winger. He achieved Segunda División totals of 174 games and 18 goals over seven seasons, representing Albacete, Real Madrid Castilla, Zaragoza, Córdoba, Lugo and Cartagena. Denis Dmitriyevich Cheryshev ( rus, Денис Дмитриевич Черышев, p=dʲɪˈnʲis ˈdmʲitrʲɪjɪvʲɪtɕ ˈtɕerɨʂɨf, links=no; born 26 December 1990) is a Russian professional footballer who plays as a left winger for Super League Greece 2 club Panionios.
