2013–14 Pirveli Liga was the 25th season of the Georgian Pirveli Liga. The season began on 30 August 2013 and finished on 16 May 2014. Format 27 teams were divided into groups A and B for a single two-round competition. Group leaders and runners-up gained promotion to the top tier while five clubs of these groups were relegated to the third division. Pirveli Liga
The Georgian Erovnuli Liga 2 ( ka, ეროვნული ლიგა 2; ), organized since 1990 by the GFF, serves as the second division of professional football in Georgia. The league was introduced for the 2017 season under the current name as a part of reorganization process of the entire league system. It was formerly known as Pirveli liga (the First league). Structure There are ten clubs competing in Erovnuli Liga 2. During the season each club plays each other four times, twice at home and twice away. At the end of each season the winner gains automatic promotion and the bottom club is relegated. The runner-up and 3rd placed team participate in two-legged home and away play-off matches against the 9th and 8th placed clubs of Erovnuli Liga, respectively. In case two or more teams obtain an equal number of points, final standings are determined by an aggregate of the results between them. FC Chkherimela Kharagauli
FC Chkherimela Kharagauli ( Georgian: სკ ჩხერიმელა) was a Georgian football club based in the town of Kharagauli. History Founded in 1982, the club participated the lower leagues of the Georgian SSR Championships until 1997. Twelve years later the team resumed their activities as ''Chkherimela 2009'' and took part in the third division. They gained promotion to Pirveli Liga where retained their place up until 2016. Having been accused of involvement in a match-fixing scandal, Chkherimela were deducted six points, fined and expelled from the competition. The team played in Liga 3 for one year before being relegated to Regionuli Liga. In 2018 the club was subjected to reorganization and reduction of financial assistance by five times compared to previous three years. FC Lokomotive Tbilisi
FC Locomotive Tbilisi, commonly referred to as Lokomotivi or simply Loco, is a Georgian professional football club based Tbilisi. The club competes in the Erovnuli Liga 2, the second tier of Georgian football. During the existence of the USSR the club was a part of the Lokomotiv Voluntary Sports Society. The club has strong connections with the Georgian Railways. History Locomotive was founded on 14 August 1936 as a part of Lokomotiv sports society. The club won Georgian championship in 1937, which gave them the permission to participate in USSR Top League. Their debut season in the highest level of the Soviet football championship came in 1938, where the club took 24th place out of 26 and got relegated. FC Kolkheti Khobi
FC Kolkheti Khobi ( ka, საფეხბურთო კლუბი კოლხეთი ხობი) is a Georgian association football club based in the town of Khobi. Following the 2024 season they were relegated to Liga 3, the third tier of Georgian football. The club has spent four seasons in the top division. History Established in 1936, Kolkheti played many years in Georgian championship during the Soviet Union. In 1988 the club won the title and advanced to the Soviet Second league where the next year they finished in the 5th place. After 1990, when Umaglesi Liga was formed, Kolkheti participated in initial three seasons. Later they spent several years in the second and third divisions. The club returned to the top flight for 1999/2000 season only to finish at the bottom of the table. In 2007, the club rejoined Pirveli Liga, where they played for ten successive seasons. FC Magaroeli is a Georgian football club from Chiatura. Since the 2023 season they have been competing in Regionuli Liga, the fifth tier of Georgian football. The team has twice participated in the top tier. History Formed in 1923, Chiatura won the Georgian championship in 1975, and also clinched the domestic Cup title in 1978 and 1979. The club spent four seasons in the Soviet Second league. In 1992/93 season the club finished second in Pirveli Liga which paved the way for Umaglesi Liga in 1993/94. Magaroeli participated in the top flight also in 1997/98. Between 2004 and 2017 the club spent 13 successive seasons in Liga 2. At one point the club came close to another promotion. FC Sapovnela ''( Georgian:'' საფეხბურთო კლუბი საპოვნელა) is a Georgian association football club from the town of Terjola. They compete in Regionuli Liga, the fifth tier of the national football system. Sapovnela was a municipal club, financially supported by the local municipality up until the 2016 season and by ''Georgian Football Development Foundation'' during the next two years. Overall, they have spent three seasons in Umaglesi Liga, the Georgian top division. History Sapovnela made a debut in the Pirveli Liga competition in 1990. After three seasons they came 3rd and gained promotion to Umaglesi Liga, where the club stayed for two years.
