2013–14 Lowland Football League
The 2013–14 Lowland League was the first season of the Lowland Football League. The league championship was won by Spartans F.C., Spartans. Despite being integrated into the Scottish football league system, pyramid system, it was agreed as part of league restructuring that the inaugural victor would not compete for a place in the Scottish Professional Football League, SPFL. Lowland Football League
The Scottish Lowland Football League (SLFL, commonly known as the Lowland League) and the Park’s Motor Group Scottish Lowland League for sponsorship reasons is a senior football league based in central and southern Scotland. The league sits at level 5 on the Scottish football league system, acting as a feeder to the Scottish Professional Football League, and is above three regional leagues at level 6. Founded in 2013, it is currently composed of 18 member clubs in a single division. Geographically, the league covers an area south of Dundee in the Lowlands area of Scotland. Since 2014–15, it has featured in the senior pyramid system. The winners take part in an end of season promotion play-off with the Highland Football League champions, with the winners then competing against the bottom club in Scottish League Two for a place in the SPFL. Prestonpans ( , Scots: ''The Pans'') is a mining town, situated approximately eight miles east of Edinburgh, Scotland, in the council area of East Lothian. The population as of is . Raydale Park
Raydale Park is a football stadium in Gretna, Scotland. It is home to Lowland League side Gretna 2008 and now has a capacity of 1,030. Raydale formerly served as the home ground of Gretna until the club resigned from the Scottish Football League in 2008. History Gretna played their home games at Raydale during their existence in English non-League football and then during their period in the Scottish Football League. However, most of their home matches in the 2007–08 season were played at Fir Park, in Motherwell because Raydale did not meet SPL requirements. Netherdale is a sports complex in Galashiels, Scottish Borders, consisting of two adjacent stadiums used for rugby union and Association football, football. Galashiels (; , ) is a town in the Scottish Borders with a population of around 12,600. Its name is often colloquially shortened to "Gala". The town is a major commercial centre for the Borders region with extensive history in the textile industry. Galashiels is the location of Heriot-Watt University's School of Textiles and Design. K-Park Training Academy is a stadium and training ground for football in the St Leonards area of East Kilbride in South Lanarkshire. It is located within the site of Calderglen Country Park. It is the home ground of League Two club East Kilbride.
