2013–14 Ukrainian Premier League
The 2013–14 Ukrainian Premier League season was the 23rd since its establishment. A total of sixteen teams participated in the league. Fifteen teams from last season's competition and one promoted club from the 2012–13 Ukrainian First League formed the league. The competition commenced on the 12 July 2013 when Tavriya Simferopol hosted Zorya Luhansk. Eighteen rounds were played prior to the winter recess. The competition was affected by the political turmoil that affected Ukraine during the spring session. Ukrainian Second League
The Ukrainian Second League (, ''Druha Liha'') is a professional football league in Ukraine which is part of the Professional Football League of Ukraine, a collective member of the Ukrainian Association of Football. As the third tier it was established in 1992 as the Transitional League and changed its name the next season. The league is lower than the Ukrainian First League (''Persha Liha'') and the lowest level of professional football competitions in the country. Since 1996 the league, after being merged with its lower tier (in 1992–1995 there was the Third League), consists of two main regions roughly north-west and south-east. The league's relegated teams lose their professional status and return to their regional associations. FC Odesa
FC Odesa was a professional Ukrainian football club based in Odesa. The club plays in blue-white colors. The club originally was called Dnister and played in Ovidiopol but after the 2010–11 season the club moved to Odesa. History The first football team in Ovidiopol was established in 1947. There was an amateur team, called "Dzerzhinets", which played in the local competitions of the Odesa Oblast and Ukraine. Amateur Ovidiopol team became Odesa Oblast champions in 1980. Professional football club was created in 1992 based on the amateur team – shortly after Soviet Union breakup in 1991. FC Krymteplytsia Molodizhne was a football club based in an urbanized settlement (town) Molodizhne (north of Simferopol and adjacent to the city limits). The club's name means "Crimea greenhouse", as the club was founded by entrepreneur Alexander Vasiliev, general director of the agriculture company of the same name. FC Obolon Kyiv (, ) is a Ukrainian professional football club based in Kyiv (Obolonskyi District). Its home colors are green shirts and white shorts; while its away uniforms are white shirts and green shorts. Its main sponsor was the brewery Obolon in 1999–2013. FC Nyva Ternopil (; ) is a Ukrainian football club from the city of Ternopil, the administrative center of Ternopil Oblast. As of the 2020–21 season, it played in the Ukrainian First League, the second tier of Ukrainian football, following promotion from the 2019–20 Ukrainian Second League. Football Club Desna Chernihiv () is a Ukraine, Ukrainian football (soccer), football club based in Chernihiv. The original name of the club was "Avanhard" (FC Avanhard Chernihiv) during its first year of existence as part of a republican Avanhard (sports society), Avanhard sports society. Between 1961 and 1970 the club was called Desna. In 1972 it was replaced with SC Chernihiv (team of the FC CSKA Kyiv, SKA Kyiv) that played in Chernihiv for the next couple of years. The Persha Liha ( ) or Ukrainian First League is a Ukrainian football league system, level of national football competitions (second tier) in Ukraine governed by the Professional Football League of Ukraine, Professional Football League at the discretion of the Ukrainian Association of Football. FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih () is a Ukraine, Ukrainian professional Association football, football club based in Kryvyi Rih. Until 2013 the club participated in professional competitions.
