2013–14 Burton Albion F.C. Season
The 2013-14 season is Burton Albion's fifth consecutive season in League Two. They finished 4th in the previous season but failed to get promotion via the playoffs. It is Gary Rowett's second season as manager of the club. Overview League Burton Albion's league campaign began well with a 2–2 away draw against Cheltenham Town on the opening day of the season, which was followed by a 1–0 victory versus Rochdale in their first home game of the season. In the following match they held off a Fleetwood Town comeback to beat the Lancashire side 3–2, to give them their first league away win since March 2013 (excluding play-offs). Philip Lee Edwards (born 8 November 1985) is an English former professional footballer who made 480 appearances in the EFL. Edwards began his football career at Wigan Athletic, progressing through the club's youth system before signing a professional contract at the age of 18. In September 2004, Edwards joined Morecambe on a month's loan, playing one game before returning to Wigan. He was loaned out again during the 2005–06 season, this time to Accrington Stanley in October 2005. He subsequently signed for the club permanently in January 2006, helping them win the Conference National. He spent five years at Accrington, playing over 250 games for them in all competitions. Hugo Rodallega Martínez (born 25 July 1985) is a Colombian professional footballer who plays as a forward in the Colombia Categoría Primera A for Independiente Santa Fe. Jack Robert Dyer (born 11 December 1991) is an English professional footballer who plays for Conference North side Tamworth, where he plays as a midfielder. Dyer was brought up in the small town of Aldridge in the West Midlands.
