2013–14 Baltic Basketball League
The 2013–14 Baltic Basketball League was the 10th anniversary season of the Baltic Basketball League. This time the format featured 21 teams – 6 from Lithuania, 6 from Estonia, 5 from Latvia, 2 from Kazakhstan and 1 from Sweden and Finland. For the regular season the teams were divided into three groups of seven teams and competed in a round-robin competition system, with each team facing their opponent twice. Top five teams of each group and the best sixth placed team qualified for the eight-finals. All play-off games were played in home-and-away series. The Finals were a Lithuanian clash as BC Šiauliai, Šiauliai took the 2014 title by beating BC Prienai, TonyBet 140–123 on aggregate score. Estonian team Tartu Ülikool Korvpallimeeskond, Tartu Ülikool/Rock won their second Baltic League bronze by beating Tampereen Pyrintö (basketball), Tampereen Pyrintö of Finland with aggregate score of 149–127. 2012–13 Baltic Basketball League
The 2012–13 Baltic Basketball League was the 9th season of the Baltic Basketball League. The Challenge Cup tournament was discontinued and the new format featured 23 teams – 9 from Lithuania, 8 from Estonia, 5 from Latvia and 1 from Kazakhstan. For the Regular season the teams were divided into three groups of six and one group of five. Top four teams of each group advanced to Last 16 where they were divided into four groups. Two best teams of each group advanced to the play-offs. All play-off games were played in home-and-away series. Ventspils became the first ever Latvian team to win the tournament by beating Lithuanian side Prienai 161–142 on aggregate score in the finals. Kalev/Cramo from Estonia won their first Baltic League medal by downing Latvian side Barons kvartāls 144–137 in the bronze medal playoffs. Latvijas Basketbola Līga
The Latvian Basketball League (LBL; ) also known as the '' Pafbet'' LBL for sponsorship reasons, is the top-level national basketball championship in Latvia composed of 6 teams. Since 2018/19, only the playoff matches are played, as the top Latvian clubs play the regular season in the Latvian–Estonian Basketball League. The LBL is governed by the Latvian Basketball Association, the national governing body of basketball in Latvia. BC Tallinna Kalev
Tallinna Kalev is a basketball team based in Tallinn, Estonia. The team was founded in 2002 as Pirita Palliklubi and played in the Korvpalli Meistriliiga (KML) from 2002 to 2024. History The team was founded in 2002 as Pirita Palliklubi (Pirita Ball Club), the same year they joined the Korvpalli Meistriliiga (KML), the top tier of Estonian basketball. In their first season, they reached the Estonian Cup final, but lost 76–92 to TÜ/Rock. BC Valga-Valka, also known as BC Valga-Valka/Maks & Moorits for sponsorship reasons, is a basketball club representing the twin towns of Valga, Estonia and Valka, Latvia. The team plays in the Latvian–Estonian Basketball League. Their home arena is the Valga Sports Hall. From 2015 to 2018 the team uniquely competed in both Estonian and Latvian domestic top leagues. Rapla KK, also known as UTILITAS RAPLA for sponsorship reasons, is a professional basketball team based in Rapla, Estonia. The team plays in the Estonian-Latvian Basketball League and the Korvpalli Meistriliiga (KML). Their home arena is the Sadolin Sports Hall. The Korvpalli Meistriliiga (KML) is the top-tier men's basketball league in Estonia. The league is organized by the Estonian Basketball Association and played under rules of basketball#International Rules of Basketball, FIBA rules. The competition was founded in 1925. From the 1998–99 season until the end of the 2001–02 season the league was organized by the Eesti Korvpalliklubide Assotsiatsioon (English: Estonian Basketball Clubs' Association).
