The 2013–14 NBL season is the 32nd season for the Adelaide 36ers in the Australasian based National Basketball League (Australasia), National Basketball League. In 2012–13 NBL season, 2012–13, the 36ers missed out on the playoffs for the 6th time in the past 7 seasons, finishing the season with the club's third Wooden spoon (award), wooden spoon (the third in four years) with a record equalling worst ever 8-20 record. The Adelaide 36ers have won the NBL championship four times (1986, 1998, 1998–99 and 2001–02 NBL season, 2001–02), earning Adelaide the nickname of "Title Town". The 36ers have played their home games at the 8,000 seat Adelaide Arena since 1992. Vector Arena
Spark Arena (also known as Auckland City Arena, and formerly as Vector Arena) is a multipurpose arena in Auckland, New Zealand. The venue is located at Quay Park, Parnell, very close to Britomart Transport Centre and The Strand Station. The arena cost approximately $94 million, and of this sum ratepayers contributed $68 million for the facility to be managed by QPAM, the NZ operator, in New Zealand's first big public-private partnership. This runs for 40 years before ownership is transferred to the city. After delays due to construction-related issues, the arena's first concert was Rock Star Supernova on 24 March 2007. Ungmennafélagið Stjarnan (, ), commonly known as Stjarnan (), is an Icelandic multi-sports club specialising in handball, football, basketball, volleyball and gymnastics located in Garðabær. Jarrid Frye
Jarrid Jamel Frye (born May 25, 1985) is an American former professional basketball player who last played for the Stjarnan (basketball club), Stjarnan of the Icelandic Úrvalsdeild karla (basketball), Úrvalsdeild karla. Gary Ervin (basketball)
Gary Ervin (born August 9, 1983) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Chorale Roanne Basket of the French LNB Pro B. He played college basketball for Mississippi State University and the University of Arkansas. Ervin was the NBL's Most Valuable Player for the 2010–11 NBL season while playing for the Wollongong Hawks. Townsville Crocodiles
The Townsville Crocodiles were an Australian professional men's basketball team based in the North Queensland city of Townsville. They competed in the National Basketball League (NBL) and played their home games at the Townsville Entertainment and Convention Centre. Brendan William Teys (born 22 February 1990) is an Australian professional basketball player for the South West Metro Pirates of the NBL1 North. Professional career Early career (2008–2013) Following a junior basketball career with the South West Metro Pirates of the Queensland Basketball League, Teys signed with his hometown Brisbane Bullets of the NBL as a development player in 2008 but the club folded before the season commenced. Kevin Brooks (born October 12, 1969) is an American professional basketball coach and former player. Born in Beaufort, South Carolina, Brooks is a graduate of White Castle High School in White Castle, Louisiana and graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, then named the University of Southwestern Louisiana. Brisbane Bullets
The Brisbane Bullets are an Australian professional men's basketball team in the National Basketball League (NBL) based in Brisbane, Queensland. They competed from 1979 to 2008, and returned to the league in 2016. Brisbane were one of ten NBL foundation teams and have won three NBL championships, being successful in the 1985 and 1987 seasons, and again in 2007. Marty Clarke (basketball)
Martin Clarke (born 22 May 1967) is an Australian former professional basketball player and coach. He is the former head coach of the National Basketball League's Adelaide 36ers and was an assistant coach of the Australian Boomers at the 2012 London Olympics. In 2018, Clarke was hired as the director of the NBA Global Academy at the Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence in Canberra. Playing career As a player, Clarke was a Guard who originally played for the Devonport Warriors in the Tasmanian State League in 1984.
