2013 Under-21 Provincial Championship
The 2013 ABSA Under-21 Provincial Championship will be contested from 12 July to 26 October 2013. The tournament will feature the Under-21 players from the fourteen provincial rugby unions in South Africa. Competition Group A There are seven participating teams in the 2013 ABSA Under-21 Provincial Championship Group A. These teams will play each other twice over the course of the season, once at home and once away. Teams will receive four points for a win and two points for a draw. Bonus points are awarded to teams that score 4 or more tries in a game, as well as to teams that lose a match by 7 points or less. Teams are ranked by points, then points difference (points scored less points conceded). The top 4 teams will qualify for the title play-offs. In the semi-finals, the team that finish first has home advantage against the team that finish fourth, while the team that finish second has home advantage against the team that finish third. Robert James du Preez (born 30 July 1993, in Durban) is a South African professional rugby union player for English Premiership side . His regular position is fly-half. Career Early career Du Preez represented the at the Under-13 Craven Week tournament in 2006 and at the Under-18 Craven Week tournament in 2011 before joining the Sharks Academy. He played for the side in 2011 and 2012. In the 2012 competition, Du Preez was the top points scorer in the competition scoring seven tries, thirty conversions and fifteen penalties for a total of 140 points. Gerhard Olivier
Gerhardus Johannes Olivier (born 17 February 1993) is a South African retired professional rugby union player who last played for the in the Pro14 and the in the Currie Cup. He regularly played as a loose-forward, but was also able to play as a lock. Career Youth Olivier first represented Bloemfontein-based side Free State at high school level, playing as a lock for them at the Under-18 Craven Week competition held in Welkom in 2010, helping the Free State to a 42–21 victory over their Western Province counterparts in the main match of the competition. Luan de Bruin (born 13 February 1993 in Pretoria, South Africa) is a South African rugby union player who currently plays for Newcastle Falcons in the Gallagher Premiership. Career Youth and Varsity Cup rugby De Bruin got recognised for provincial selection at primary school level in 2006, when he was included in the Under-13 squad that played at the Craven Week competition. Ruaan Stephen Lerm (born 25 March 1992) is a South African rugby union player for the in the Pro14. His regular position is number eight or flanker.
