2013 Ottawa Bus–train Crash
The Ottawa bus–train crash was a Traffic collision, collision that occurred between an OC Transpo double-decker bus and a Via Rail train in the Ottawa suburb of Barrhaven on September 18, 2013, that killed six people. Details The collision occurred at 8:48 a.m. at a Level crossing, rail crossing near Fallowfield Road and Woodroffe Avenue on the Transitway (Ottawa), Transitway, the city's dedicated road for buses. The train, Via Rail #51 (pulled by General Electric GE Genesis#P42DC, P42 Genesis locomotive #915), departed Ottawa Train Station, Ottawa at 8:32 a.m., bound for Toronto. John Russell Baird (born May 26, 1969) is a retired Canadian politician. He served as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2011 to 2015 in the cabinet of Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
