Macau or Macao (; ; ; ), officially the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China (MSAR), is a city and special administrative region of China in the western Pearl River Delta by the South China Sea. With a population of about 680,000 and an area of , it is the most densely populated region in the world. Formerly a Portuguese colony, the territory of Portuguese Macau was first leased to Portugal as a trading post by the Ming dynasty in 1557. Fernando Chui
Fernando Chui Sai-on (; born 13 January 1957) is a Macau politician who served as the 2nd Chief Executive of Macau from 2009 to 2019. He served as Secretary for Social and Cultural Affairs from 1999 to 2009. Chui was born in 1957 to local construction tycoon Chui Tak-seng and Chan Keng-fan, the second son after Chui Sai-cheong. His wife is a niece of the late Hong Kong tycoon Henry Fok Ying-tung. Ho Iat Seng
Ho Iat-seng (; born 12 June 1957) is a Macanese politician serving as the 3rd and current Chief Executive of Macau since December 2019. Early life Ho studied at , Macau. In 1992, he studied electronic engineering and economics at Zhejiang University in Zhejiang; he would later become a visiting fellow of the university. Political career Ho served as a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference of Zhejiang Province from 1978 to 1998. In 2000, he was selected as the National People's Congress member representing Macau and became a member of the Standing Committee in 2001. From 2004 to 2009, he served as a member of the Executive Council of Macau. In 2009, he was elected as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Macau; from 2013 to 2019, he served as its vice-president and between 2014 and 2017 its president. Macau Forum (, pt, Forum de Macau) is a venue connected to the adjacent Macao Polytechnic University Multisport Pavilion and Media Centre located at Avenida de Marciano Baptista, in Sé, Macau, China. Macao Forum used to be the largest indoor venue in Macau before the completion of the Macao East Asian Games Dome. It comprises two pavilions: The main pavilion has a capacity of up to 4,000 and offers a competition area of 45 metres by 25 metres with a ceiling height of 12 metres; The second pavilion can accommodate over 300 people with theatre-style-seating format and offers a performing area of 30 metres by 15 metres, which is suitable for different spectator sports and shows. Macao Forum has been one of the venues for the annual FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix series since 1994 and successfully held the Final in 2001 (suspended in 2003 and 2004 due to major overhaul for the 2005 East Asian Games).
