Tehran Times
The ''Tehran Times'' is an English-language daily newspaper published in Iran, founded in 1979 as the self-styled "voice of the Islamic Revolution". While not state-owned, it is considered state-controlled and closely tied to the hardline factions within the Iranian government. Academics, ambassadors, policymakers and international affairs analysts frequently contribute to the newspaper. Ahmad Sayyed Javadi
Ahmad Sayyed Javadi (; 24 June 1917 – 31 March 2013) was an Iranian lawyer, political activist and politician, who served as interior minister and justice minister. He was the first interior minister after the 1979 revolution in Iran. Early life and education Javadi was born into a devoutly religious family in Qazvin on 24 June 1917. The members of his family were Shiite clergy and merchants. He received a law degree and a PhD in political science. Javadi was the eldest of three brothers. One of his brothers, Ali, was a journalist who worked for '' Kayhan'' newspaper. Another, Hassan, was also a journalist who served as the editor-in-chief of the daily newspaper '' Ettelaat''. Farideh Lashai
Farideh Lashai (; 1944 – February 24, 2013) was an Iranian painter, printmaker, video artist, and translator. She was also a writer and translator. Her foremost book is ''Shal Bamu''. She is renowned for her abstract contemporary paintings, which are a combination of traditional and contemporary views of nature. Life Farideh Lashai was born in Rasht, Iran. After finishing high school, she went to Germany. After studying in the school of translation in Munich, she studied decorative arts at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. She then worked for two years in Reidel company. Her paintings combined the traditional art with contemporary art, including techniques deriving from late 17th century northern Europe. Ministry Of Justice (Iran)
The Ministry of Justice is one of the Islamic Republic of Iran's ministries. Established in the Constitution of Iran, it has the responsibility of coordinating between the judicial branch and other branches of the government. The Chief Justice of Iran can delegate financial and management of the judiciary as well as the hiring of non-Judges to the Minister of Justice. Introduction Established in 1906, the Minister of Justice is responsible for prosecuting government cases, acting as the attorney-general of the country. Hassan Habibi
Hassan Ebrahim Habibi (; 29 January 1937 – 31 January 2013) was an Iranian politician, lawyer, scholar and the first vice president from 1989 until 2001 under Presidents Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani and Mohammad Khatami. He was also a member of the High Council of Cultural Revolution and head of Academy of Persian Language and Literature from 2004 until his death in 2013. Early life and education Habibi studied sociology in France. He held a PhD in law and sociology. When he was a university student he visited Khomeini while the latter was in exile. Career Habibi was tasked by Ayatollah Khomeini to draft the prospective constitution of Iran when the latter was in exile in Paris. His version was heavily modified due to criticisms and the final text was approved by the election in November 1979. Homayoun Khorram
Ostad Homayoun Khorram (), (June 30, 1930 – January 17, 2013) was an Iranian musician, composer, violinist, and a member of the high council of Iran's house of music. Khorram began his music career as a violinist at the age of 10 by participating in master Abolhassan Saba violin and Radif classes. After four years of lessons, Khorram entered the State National Radio Orchestra as a violin soloist and afterwards as a concert maestro. Due to the genius musical talent and passion he start to work as a leading composer of the National Radio at the age of 21. At the same time with music education, he followed up academic education and acquired MSc degree in electrical engineering. Marja (; plural ''marājiʿ''; ) is a title given to the highest level of Twelver Shia religious cleric, with the authority given by a hawzah (a seminary where Shi'a Muslim scholars are educated) to make legal decisions within the confines of Sharia, Islamic law for followers and clerics below him in rank. The highest ranking ''marjiʿ'' is known as the ''marja al-mutlaq'' or ''marja al-taqlid al-mutlaq''. A marji' is usually also a grand ayatollah. Twelver Shi'ism (), also known as Imamism () or Ithna Ashari, is the Islamic schools and branches, largest branch of Shia Islam, Shi'a Islam, comprising about 90% of all Shi'a Muslims. Mojtaba Tehrani
Grand Ayatollah Agha Mojtaba Tehrani (Persian: مجتبي تهراني) (4 April 1933 – 1 January 2013) was an Iranian Twelver Shi'a Marja' taqlid, which is described as "a high-ranking Shia cleric who is regarded as a source of emulation".
