Emma Karolina Johansson (born 23 September 1983) is a Swedish retired professional racing cyclist. Nicknamed ''Silver Emma'', Johansson accumulated many second and third places at major championships and one-day classics. In 2013 in women's road cycling, 2013 she finished the year as number one on the 2013 UCI Women's Road World Rankings, UCI Women's World Ranking. She won the silver medal in the women's road race at both the Cycling at the 2008 Summer Olympics – Women's individual road race, 2008 and Cycling at the 2016 Summer Olympics – Women's individual road race, 2016 Summer Olympics, as well as one silver and two bronze medals at the UCI Road World Championships – Women's road race, Road World championships. Marianne Vos (; born 13 May 1987) is a Dutch multi-discipline cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's Team, UCI Women's WorldTeam . After winning a junior European and World Championship in road racing, she continued her success in senior cycling by becoming World Champion in cyclo-cross and road racing at the age of 19. Vos added track racing World Championships when she won the points race in 2008 and the scratch race in 2011. Adriana ("Adrie") Visser (born 19 October 1983 in Hoorn) is a former Dutch track and road racer who lives in Wieringerwerf. Visser started her professional career in 2001, when she finished second at the Dutch road race championship. She came fifth in the time trial. In track cycling she won her first national titles, becoming Dutch champion in the 500m time trial and sprint. She also won a silver medal in the points race. At the world championships in Trexlertown, Pennsylvania, USA, she was seventh in the 500m time trial and eighth in the sprint and individual pursuit. She won a bronze medal at the 2003 World Track Championships in Stuttgart. In the same year she won the Dutch points, scratch and individual pursuit championships for the first time. Christine Majerus (born 25 February 1987) is a Luxembourgish former professional road bicycle racing, road and cyclo-cross cyclist, who rode for UCI Women's Team, UCI Women's WorldTeam and its predecessors from 2014 until her retirement in 2024. She won the 2013 Sparkassen Giro Bochum one-day road race and the general classification of the 2019 Holland Ladies Tour. Majerus is one of the most dominant cyclists to come out of Luxembourg and is a 41-time national champion, holding 16 time trial titles, 12 cyclo-cross titles and 13 road race titles. She was named Luxembourgish Sportspeople of the Year, Luxembourgish Sportswoman of the Year in 2013 and in every ceremony from 2015 to 2021. Rossella Ratto (born 20 October 1993) is an Italian former racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2012 and 2021 for seven different teams. During her professional career, Ratto took three victories – the 2014 Giro dell'Emilia Internazionale Donne Elite and 2016 Winston-Salem Cycling Classic one-day races, and a stage of The Women's Tour in 2014 – as well as winning a bronze medal in the road race at the 2013 UCI Road World Championships in Italy. Tiffany Jane Cromwell (born 6 July 1988) is an Australian road and gravel cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . Career Road Junior career Starting in 2002, after being identified by the South Australian sports institute talent identification program, Cromwell began her cycling career. Cycling was not the first sport Cromwell picked up, having done ballet, running, triathlons and basketball beforehand, the last of which she had family ties to. Despite an interest in pursuing basketball as a career before cycling, Cromwell admits her height 'always let erdown'. Initially, Cromwell disliked cycling, citing that she was 'Tiny and one of the worst in ergroup' on the track, but soon discovered her love for the sport when she placed third in her first road race in the state championships. The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), the world's governing body in the sport of bicycle racing, classifies races according to a rating scale. The rating is represented by a code made of two or three parts and indicates both the type or style of race (the first part), and its importance or difficulty (the second and third parts, lower being harder).
