2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup
The 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup was the nineteenth edition of the FIFA U-20 World Cup, since its inception in 1977 as the FIFA World Youth Championship. It ran from 21 June to 13 July 2013. At the FIFA Executive Meeting in Zürich on 3 March 2011, Turkey beat other bids to host the series games, from host competition by the United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan. In its bid, Turkey suggested the use of thirteen stadiums in ten of its cities, before deciding in February 2012, that seven cities would play host to games. This tournament marked the first time in its history that neither Argentina national under-20 football team, Argentina nor Brazil national under-20 football team, Brazil (the most successful teams in the competition) qualified. Ebenezer Assifuah
Ebenezer Kofi Assifuah-Inkoom (born 3 July 1993) is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Malaysia Super League club Kedah Darul Aman. Before moving to Swiss club Sion, he played for Liberty Professionals in his home country of Ghana. Assifuah has been described as a striker with power and scoring ability. Although he naturally is right-footed, he has successfully used his left foot. Assifuah is a former Ghana international. At youth level, he played for the Ghana U20s. FIFA Confederations Cup
The FIFA Confederations Cup was an international association football tournament for men's national teams, held every four years by FIFA. It was contested by the holders of each of the six continental championships ( AFC, CAF, CONCACAF, CONMEBOL, OFC, and UEFA), along with the current FIFA World Cup holder and the host nation, to bring the number of teams up to eight. Between 2001 and 2017 (with an exception in 2003), the tournament was held in the country that would host the World Cup the following year, acting as a test event for the larger tournament. The last champions were Germany, who won the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup by defeating Chile 1–0 in the final to win their first title. Trabzon, historically known as Trebizond, is a city on the Black Sea coast of northeastern Turkey and the capital of Trabzon Province. The city was founded in 756 BC as "Trapezous" by colonists from Miletus. Bursa Atatürk Stadium () was a multi-purpose stadium in Bursa, Turkey. It was used mostly for football matches and was the home ground of Bursaspor. The stadium held 25,213 and was built in 1979. A stadium had existed on this site since 1930 when a stand with a capacity of 300 was built for an amateur football club. The stadium was demolished in 2016.
