2013 Algerian Super Cup
The 2013 Algerian Super Cup is the 7th edition of Algerian Super Cup, a football match contested by the winners of the Ligue 1 and 2012–13 Algerian Cup competitions. The match was scheduled to be played on 11 January 2014 at Mustapha Tchaker Stadium in Blida between 2013-14 Ligue 1 winners ES Sétif and 2012–13 Algerian Cup winners USM Alger. Algerian Super Cup
The Algerian Super Cup () is an Algerian football competition, held as a game between the reigning champions of the Algerian League and the Algerian Cup. The first edition was held in 1981 and then again in 1992, 1994 and 1995 before being scrapped. The game returned in 2006 but would be scrapped again after the 2007 edition, returning once again in 2013. The current holders are CR Belouizdad, who beat USM Alger in the 2019 final, played in November 2020. MC Alger is the most successful club in the competition, having won the trophy three times. History The Algerian Super Cup is a recent competition of Algerian football. This is an event that takes place on a single meeting between the winners of the Algerian Cup and Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1. Abdelghani Demmou
Abdelghani Demmou (; born January 29, 1989) is an Algerian football player who currently plays for MC Alger in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1. He commonly plays as a centre back. Club career In the summer of 2009, Demmou was linked with a move to MC Oran. However, his club, SA Mohammadia, refused to sell the player. In the summer of 2010, Demmou was again linked with a move away from his club, this time to USM El Harrach. SA Mohammadia put a 5 million Algerian dinars price tag on the player. He ended up joining the club in July with the transfer details not disclosed. On May 1, 2011, Demmou was a starter for USM El Harrach in the 2011 Algerian Cup Final against JS Kabylie. However, they ended up losing the match 1–0. Demmou now plays for MC Alger, where he has won an Algerian Cup. MC Alger won the Final on 2 May 2016 against NA Hussein Dey (1–0). Rabie Meftah
Mohamed Rabie Meftah (born May 5, 1985) is an Algerian football coach and former professional player. Personal life Meftah comes from a family of footballers. His cousin Mahieddine Meftah was a former Algerian international and played for JS Kabylie and USM Alger. Another cousin, Rahim Meftah, was also a former player who played for the two clubs, as well as MO Constantine. Two other cousins, Chaâbane Meftah and Jugurtha Meftah are also footballers and currently play for JS Kabylie. Club career JS Kabylie A product of the JS Kabylie junior ranks, Meftah was promoted to the first team in 2004.
