The 2012–13 in English football, 2012–13 season was the 10th season in the Football League and the 8th consecutive season at the third tier of English football played by Yeovil Town F.C., Yeovil Town Football Club, an English football club based in Yeovil, Somerset. Manager (association football), Manager Gary Johnson (footballer, born 1955), Gary Johnson signed nine players before the close of the summer transfer window. The season started promisingly with the club briefly topping the Football League One table in August before a 6-match losing run in September and October saw them drop in to mid-table. Having stood 12th in the league table after Boxing Day, Yeovil went on an 8-match run winning run which transformed them into promotion candidates. Yeovil Town F
Yeovil () is a town and civil parish in Somerset, England. It is close to Somerset's southern border with Dorset, west of London, south of Bristol, west of Sherborne and east of Taunton. The population of the built-up area – which includes the outlying areas of the town in the parishes of West Coker, Brympton and Yeovil Without – was 50,176 at the 2021 census. The aircraft and defence industries which developed in the 20th century made it a target for bombing in the Second World War; they are still major employers. Leyton ( ) is a town in East London, England, within the London Borough of Waltham Forest. The English Football League Trophy, officially known as the Vertu Trophy for sponsorship reasons, is an annual English football knockout competition open to all clubs in EFL League One and EFL League Two and U-21 teams from the Premier League and the EFL Championship. Launched in the 1981–82 football season as the Football League Group Cup, it was a replacement for the Anglo-Scottish Cup, which had been discontinued after the withdrawal of Scottish League clubs.
