2012–13 Petron Blaze Boosters Season
The 2012–13 Petron Blaze Boosters season was the 38th season of the franchise in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). The team placed seventh in the Philippine Cup, third in the Commissioner's Cup and second in the Governors' Cup. It had three draft picks: two Filipino and one American. Olsen Racela
Rodericko Cesar "Olsen" Escueta Racela (born November 1, 1970) is a Filipino coach and former player. He is both the head coach for the Perpetual Altas in the NCAA, and is an assistant coach for the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He played for 18 seasons during his PBA career. He was also a notable member of the Philippine national basketball team on many occasions. Early life Olsen Racela, born on November 1 in Quezon City, Philippines, was so named because he was born on All Saint's Day (his brother Nash was born on Bonifacio Day). The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters are a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association owned by Asian Coatings Philippines, Inc. It debuted in the league in the 2006–07 PBA season after acquiring the franchise rights of the Shell Turbo Chargers in 2006, which disbanded after the 2004–05 PBA season. Todd Purves
John Todd Purves is an American basketball coach, who is the head coach of the Pacific Caesar Surabaya of the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL). Purves won the ASEAN Basketball League title in the 2012 season with Indonesia Warriors. Career He worked in Asian leagues, including the Indonesia Warriors for the ABL in 2011, and won a championship for the team. Melchor "Biboy" Ravanes (born January 6, 1959) is a former Filipino professional basketball player and former head coach of the San Miguel Beermen in the Philippine Basketball Association. Enrico "Koy" Banal, is a Filipino people, Filipino professional basketball head coach. Coaching career Played as a San Beda Red Lions basketball, Red Lion in his college days, Banal has had extensive head coaching experience in the collegiate and amateur ranks. Leovino "Leo" Austria (born March 14, 1958) is a Filipino professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach of the San Miguel Beermen of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He previously coached the team from 2014 to 2022, leading the team to nine PBA championships out of the ten Finals appearances. He also served as head consultant of the Beermen. Alex Mallari
Alex Christopher Hale Mallari (born March 26, 1987) is a Filipino-American former professional basketball player in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was selected third overall in the 2012 PBA draft by the Petron Blaze Boosters. Amateur career In high school, Mallari helped Los Alamitos High School win a championship in the Sunset League. He played just one year of college hoops at Lewis-Clark State College in Idaho, before spending the next two years out of the basketball scene. In 2011, he came to the Philippines to play in that year's Foundation Cup for the FCA Cultivators. During the 2011–12 Aspirants' Cup, he was involved in a freak accident in practice where his teammate poked his left eye.
