2012–13 NK Maribor Season
The 2012–13 season was the List of NK Maribor seasons, 53rd season in the history of NK Maribor and the club's 22nd consecutive season in the Slovenian PrvaLiga since the league establishment in 1991. The team participated in the Slovenian PrvaLiga, Slovenian Football Cup, UEFA Champions League, and UEFA Europa League. The season covers the period from 1 June 2012 to 31 May 2013. Darko Milanič was a head coach of the club. Darko Milanič
Darko Milanič (born 18 December 1967) is a Slovenian professional Manager (association football), football manager and former Football player, player. As a player, Milanič represented both Yugoslavia national football team, Yugoslavia and Slovenia national football team, Slovenia at international level. He also Captain (association football), captained Slovenia at UEFA Euro 2000. Club career Born in Izola, Milanič began his football career with local side NK Izola. In the 1986–87 season, he joined FK Partizan, Partizan. During his time at Partizan, he won the Yugoslav First League and the Yugoslav Cup twice. After the 1992–93 season, Milanič moved to the Austrian side SK Sturm Graz, Sturm Graz, where he played for eight seasons and won eight trophies, including two Austrian Bundesliga titles, three Austrian Cups and three Austrian Supercups. Aleš Mertelj
Aleš Mertelj (born 22 March 1987) is a retired Slovenian footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Mertelj started his career playing for Triglav Kranj and stayed there until he was acquired by Slovenian top division club, Koper. He played for Koper during the 2008–09 season, making 35 league appearances for the club and scoring three goals in the process. In 2009, he transferred to Maribor, where he stayed for nine years, winning 14 trophies with the club. Željko Filipović
Željko Filipović (born 3 October 1988) is a Slovenian retired professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. Club career In 2018 Filipović played for Dynamo Brest in Belarus. Boban Jović
Boban Jović (born 25 June 1991) is a Slovenian former professional footballer who played as a right-back. Club career Jović started playing football at his local club Šampion, but moved to Aluminij in his teens. Even though he was playing in Slovenian second division, he was part of the under-19 national team, which qualified for the 2009 European Championship. After the tournament, Jović moved to Olimpija Ljubljana and played 16 games in the 2009–10 season, mainly as a defensive midfielder. He became an indispensable member of the team during the next season, playing 30 games and starting to make the right back position his own. Đorđe Ivelja ( sr-cyr, Ђорђе Ивеља; also transliterated Djordje Ivelja; born 30 June 1984) is a Serbian retired Association football, footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Ivelja made his First League of FR Yugoslavia debut with OFK Beograd in 2001, aged 17. He spent seven years there, including several loan spells with lower-tier clubs. In early 2009, Ivelja moved to Romanian side FC Rapid București, Rapid București. He made 11 league appearances for the club, before leaving at the end of the year.
