2012–13 Major Indoor Soccer League Season
The 2012–13 Major Indoor Soccer League (2008–), Major Indoor Soccer League season was the second under the United Soccer Leagues banner, fourth under the MISL name, and the fifth season overall. It was also the 35th season of professional Division 1 indoor soccer. The season started on November 2, 2012 and ended on March 3, 2013. Missouri Comets
The Kansas City Comets are an American professional indoor soccer team based in the Kansas City metropolitan area that competes in the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL). Originally called the Missouri Comets, the team joined the Major Indoor Soccer League as an expansion team in the 2010–2011 season. The team plays its home games at Cable Dahmer Arena. History The team is named after the original Kansas City Comets, who played in the original Major Indoor Soccer League from 1981–1991. Andrew Hoxie
Andrew Jerod Hoxie (born October 8, 1986) is an American soccer player for Utica City FC in the Major Arena Soccer League. Career College and amateur Hoxie grew up in Newport News, Virginia, and attended Denbigh Baptist Christian School, where he won a state championship with the Minutemen. The team was coached by his father, Hal Hoxie. He played four years of college soccer at The College of William & Mary from 2005 to 2009 (redshirting in 2008), garnishing the CAA Player of the Year Award in his senior season, as well as earning third team All-American honors in 2009, and finishing his career with the Tribe with 91 points on 35 goals and 21 assists. Ian Dwight Bennett (born August 27, 1983) is a Canadian soccer player who plays for the Milwaukee Wave in the Major Arena Soccer League. Career College and amateur Bennett attended St. Thomas More Catholic Secondary School, and played college soccer at Marian College from 2003 to 2006. During his college years Bennett also played with the Hamilton Thunder in the Canadian Professional Soccer League; he joined the Thunder in 2001 and remained with the team through the 2005 season. In 2006, he spent the summer with the Palm Beach Pumas of the USL Premier Development League. Frederico Augusto Pieruccini "Freddy" Moojen (born February 25, 1983) is a former soccer forward. Born in Brazil, he represented Canada at the international level in futsal. He shared the 2005 and 2006 Premier Development League goals lead. He was also the 2006 PDL MVP and the 2006-2007 Major Indoor Soccer League Rookie of the Year. Leo Gibson (born August 9, 1983) is a Liberian footballer who played for and was the former head coach for the Kansas City Comets in the MASL. Career College Gibson was born in Monrovia, Liberia, but came to the United States in 2002, having previously played for the Monrovia Black Star youth team in the Liberian Premier League. He played college soccer at King College in Tennessee in 2002 and 2003.
