The 2012–13 Ekstraklasa season was Lechia's 69th since their creation, and was their 5th continuous season in the top league of Polish football. Lechia Gdańsk
Lechia Gdańsk () is a Polish football (soccer), football club based in Gdańsk. As of the 2025–26 Ekstraklasa, 2025–26 season, they compete in the Ekstraklasa. The club was founded in 1945 by people Polish population transfers (1944–1946), expelled from Lviv, Lwów, who were supporters of Poland's oldest football team Lechia Lwów, founded in 1903. The club's name comes from Lechia, a poetic name for Poland, and is a continuation of the name used by the club based in Lwów. In their early years, Lechia enjoyed some success, most notably finishing third in the Ekstraklasa, Polish top division, before spending decades in the second and third tiers. In the early 1980s, Lechia won the Polish Cup, the Polish Super Cup, and played in a European competition for the first time. After having two mergers with other teams in the 1990s the club had to restart from the sixth tier in 2001. Jarosław Bieniuk
Jarosław Paweł Bieniuk (; born 4 June 1979) is a Polish former professional footballer who played as a defender. Career He started playing for Amica Wronki in the 1998–99 season and made his debut on 22 May 1999. In 2006, he transferred to Turkish side Antalyaspor where he played until the end of 2008. In January 2009, he signed a contract with Cypriot club AC Omonia, however, it was terminated a few weeks later and he signed with Widzew Łódź. In July 2012, he moved from Widzew Łódź to another Polish Ekstraklasa team, Lechia Gdańsk. On 30 July 2013, he captained Lechia Gdańsk in a friendly game against FC Barcelona, scoring a goal in a 2–2 home draw against the Spanish giants. Levon Hayrapetyan
Levon Hayrapetyan (, born 17 April 1989), also known as Levon Hairapetian, is an Armenian former professional footballer who played as a left-back. He is the son of Olympic medal winning field hockey player Sos Hayrapetyan. Club career Hayrapetyan is the pupil of the German school of football. He played in the amateur Bramefeldere 1945 club and the youth team of Hamburger SV. As part of Hamburger SV II, he spent seven games. Hayrapetyan also played four matches for Pyunik Yerevan. Ricardo Cavalcante Mendes (born 4 September 1989), or simply Ricardinho, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a forward or left winger. Club career Górnik Łęczna In February 2011, Ricardinho was loaned to Bogdanka Łęczna on a half-year deal. Sheriff Tiraspol Ricardinho joined Sheriff Tiraspol on 1 July 2013, for a fee of €350,000. Kacper Łazaj
Kacper Łazaj (born 24 July 1995) is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a left winger for German club BV Garrel. The majority of the teams he has played for have been in the Pomeranian region. He is one of the youngest players to have scored in the Ekstraklasa, and is Lechia Gdańsk's all-time youngest scorer in Ekstraklasa. Despite early signs of a promising career, after leaving Lechia in 2015 Łazaj has spent the majority of his career in II liga and III liga (third and fourth tiers). Marcin Pietrowski (born 1 March 1988) is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for regional league club Tylko Lechia Gdańsk. Sebastian Madera (born 30 May 1985) is a Polish professional football manager and former player who was most recently in charge of LZS Justynów. Throughout his career, he suffered many injuries.
