2012–13 Juventus FC Season
The 2012–13 season was Juventus Football Club's 115th in existence and sixth consecutive season in the top flight of Italian football. The club won their second Serie A title in a row. The season was the first since 1992–93 without former Captain and legend Alessandro del Piero, who joined Australian Club Sydney FC. 2011–12 Italian football scandal The events were overshadowed by the recent '' Calcioscommesse'' scandals. First team manager Antonio Conte, his assistant Angelo Alessio, technical director Christian Stellini and players Leonardo Bonucci and Simone Pepe were among the accused. Stellini, Bonucci and Pepe were later acquitted, but Stellini resigned from his position in August 2012. The 2011–12 season was Juventus Football Club's 114th in existence and fifth consecutive season in the top flight of Italian football. In Serie A, the club won their first league title since 2006; they had won two Serie A titles in the meantime ( 2004–05 and 2005–06) but were stripped of both as a result of the ''Calciopoli'' scandal. Season review Former club captain and fan favourite Antonio Conte was officially appointed as the new manager on 31 May 2011, taking over the post previously left vacant following the sacking of Luigi Delneri. Massimo Carrera
Massimo Carrera (; born 22 April 1964) is an Italian professional football manager and former player. Nicknamed ''La Bandera'', he played as a defender for various European clubs, including Juventus, which he later managed, and the Italy national team. Club career Carrera began his career at Pro Sesto, but rose to fame with Bari, enjoying five seasons with the club before moving to Juventus in 1991. Simone Pepe
Simone Pepe (; born 30 August 1983) is an Italian former footballer who played as a winger, on either side of the pitch. After starting out at Roma, he went on to compete in Serie A for 12 seasons, spending most of his time at Udinese and Juventus and amassing totals of 251 games and 31 goals, winning four consecutive national championships with the latter club. Leonardo Bonucci
Leonardo Bonucci (; born 1 May 1987) is an Italian former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. Considered one of the best defenders of his generation, he was known for his technique, ball-playing skills, tackling and his ability to play in either a three or four-man defence. Angelo Alessio
Angelo Alessio (born 29 April 1965 in Capaccio) is an Italian football manager and former player. Playing career A central midfielder, Alessio started his professional career with then-Serie A club Avellino in 1984. He was then signed by Italian powerhouse Juventus in 1987, with whom he played until 1992 (except for a season loan at Bologna in 1988–89), winning a Coppa Italia–UEFA Cup double in 1990. He then moved to Serie A club Bari, before to join Cosenza in the Serie B and then returning to Avellino (now in Serie C1) in 1997. He ended his career in 1998 after a season with Modena.
