Kalleh Mazandaran VC
Kalleh Mazandaran Volleyball Club () was an Iranian professional volleyball team based in Amol, Iran. The team was owned by Solico Group - Kalleh Company . They competed in the Iranian Volleyball Super League. The Payambar Azam Arena in Amol, Iran was the home ground of Kalleh. The team has won the Iranian Super League twice and the Asian Club Championship once. Kalleh was dissolved in 2014 due to financial issues but was refounded just a year later. History In 1989 Kalleh Mazandaran Volleyball Club was established in Amol, Iran. Kalleh competed in the Mazandaran Provincial League until 2007 in which they were promoted to the Iranian Super League from the 1st Division. In 2012, for the first time in club history, Kalleh won the Iranian Super League title and secured a spot in the Asian Club Championship, in which they finished third. Iranian Volleyball Super League
The Iranian Volleyball Super League (IVSL) is a professional volleyball league in Iran at the top of the Iranian volleyball league system. It was founded in 1975 as the Pasargad Cup, but after the Iranian Revolution it was renamed to the first Division. In 1997 the league system was revamped, and the Iranian Super League was established. History The first season of a national Iranian volleyball league was held in 1975 with 12 teams competing. In 1979 due to the Iranian Revolution the league was canceled. In 1989, the first Hazfi Cup for Iranian volleyball teams was held. During this period there was no national league and teams competed in the provincial and local leagues instead. Shortly after the Hazfi Cup, in 1990 the national volleyball league of Iran was restarted by the Iranian Volleyball Federation with 10 teams competing and was called the ''Fajr Cup''. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the program at the Atlanta 1996 Summer Olympics. Azadi Indoor Stadium
The Azadi Indoor Stadium, officially named Azadi 12,000 Capacity Hall (), is an indoor arena, indoor sports arena in Tehran, Iran. Shahrdari Varamin Volleyball Club (, ''Bâshgâh-e Vâlibâl-e Shahrdâri-ye Varâmin'') formerly known as Matin Varamin for sponsorship reasons is a professional volleyball team based in Varamin, Iran. They compete in the Iranian Volleyball Super League. History Establishment Shahrdari Varamin Volleyball Club was founded in 2012 in Varamin, Iran, by the Matin Engineering Company.
