2012–13 Dutch Basketball League
The 2012–13 Dutch Basketball League was the 53rd season of the Dutch Basketball League, the highest professional basketball league in the Netherlands. The season started on 6 October 2012 and ended on 23 May 2013. Second-seeded ZZ Leiden won the DBL title, after defeating fourth-seeded Aris Leeuwarden 4–0 in the play-off finals. EiffelTowers Den Bosch player Andre Young (basketball), Andre Young was voted the DBL Most Valuable Player Award, Most Valuable Player of the regular season. 2011–12 Dutch Basketball League
The 2011–12 Dutch Basketball League (DBL) was the 52nd season of the highest Dutch professional basketball league. The regular season started on 8 October 2011. EiffelTowers Den Bosch won its 15th national championship, after beating ZZ Leiden 4–1 in the Finals. Seamus Boxley received the Most Valuable Player award this season. Rules This was the first season played with new rules about foreign players; all teams were allowed to have no more than four foreign players on their roster. Den Helder Kings
BV Den Helder was a professional basketball club from Den Helder, Netherlands. The team had several seasons in the Dutch Basketball League, the highest professional league in the Netherlands. The club is currently inactive, however Den Helder Suns has replaced the club as professional team from Den Helder. The club has won the Dutch League six times and the NBB Cup once. The club had a long history of financial troubles, with the club being dissolved three times. The last time the club appeared at the highest level was in 2014, as the professional team was declared bankrupt during that season. Den Helder
Den Helder () is a municipality and a city in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. Den Helder occupies the northernmost point of the North Holland peninsula. It is home to the country's main naval base. From here the Royal TESO ferryboat service operates the transportation link between Den Helder and the nearby Dutch Wadden island of Texel to the north. Kalverdijkje
The Kalverdijkje is an indoor sports complex in Leeuwarden, Netherlands. The complex has a swimming pool, and hosts basketball, volleyball and korfball matches. It is also the home arena of Aris Leeuwarden, professional basketball club competing in the Dutch Basketball League. The Kalverdijkje has two halls: the ''Egelantierhal'' and the ''Schieringenhal.'' The latter, which is the primary venue, has a seating capacity of 1,700 people following its expansion in 2014. Prior to this, it could accommodate 1,000 spectators. Leeuwarden (; ; ; ) is a List of cities in the Netherlands by province, city and Municipalities of the Netherlands, municipality in Friesland, Netherlands, with a population of 127,073 (2023). Apollohal
The Apollohal is an indoor sports hall located in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Built in 1934 as a tennis hall, the complex was later designated for expositions and ice skating. Since it was renovated in 2004–2005, it has mainly been used as basketball hall. It is the current home arena of Apollo Amsterdam, a professional team that plays in the Dutch Basketball League (DBL). BS Weert
Basketball Stars Weert, commonly known as BSW, was a professional basketball team based in Weert, Netherlands. The club was founded in 1968 and played in the Dutch Basketball League. Home games of the team are played in the Sporthal Boshoven. The club was a regular participant in the Dutch top division, as the side from Weert appeared in the Eredivisie (later DBL) for 34 straight seasons. The highlight of the club was the national championship in the 1993–94 season. The club finished three times as runner-up in the DBL: in 1988, 1993 and 2001. As well, BSW made European appearances with the most notable being the one in the FIBA European Cup Winners' Cup, the highest European level, in 1994–95.
