2012–13 Dallas Sidekicks Season
The 2012–13 Dallas Sidekicks season was the first season of the new Dallas Sidekicks professional indoor soccer club. The Sidekicks, a Central Division team in the Professional Arena Soccer League, played their home games in the Allen Event Center in Allen, Texas. The team was led by general manager and head coach Tatu with assistant coaches Mike Powers and Caesar Cervin. Season summary The Sidekicks were successful in the regular season, earning a 13–3 record and clinching first place in the Central Division. The team qualified for the postseason and earned the right to play for the Ron Newman Cup in the PASL National Championship but lost consecutive games to the Rio Grande Valley Flash in the Division Finals, abruptly ending their playoff run. KEXB (1440 AM) is a radio station, licensed to University Park, Texas, and serving the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. It is owned and operated by Relevant Radio, Inc., and carries a Catholic talk and teaching radio format. Most of the programming comes from the Wisconsin-based radio network known as "Relevant Radio." By day, KEXB transmits 50,000 watts, the maximum for AM radio stations licensed by the Federal Communications Commission, but at night, to protect other stations on 1440 AM, it reduces power to 350 watts. Gordon Harold Jago (born 22 October 1932) is an English former football player and manager, and the former director of the Dr. Pepper Dallas Cup international youth tournament. Playing career Born in Poplar, London, Jago began his professional career as a center back in the Football League at Charlton Athletic, with whom he joined in the 1954–55 season from non-league team Dulwich Hamlet. Prior to Charlton, he played in six full internationals as a member of the England U20 squad. He made a total of 147 appearances for Charlton, scoring one goal, at The Valley. Norm Hitzges (born July 5, 1944) is an American author and sports talk radio host. He is a member of the Texas Radio Hall of Fame. Career Hitzges hosts at KTCK (AM), KTCK (1310 AM broadcasting, AM / 96.7 FM, "SportsRadio 1310 The Ticket") in Dallas.
