Serena Williams defeated Agnieszka Radwańska in the final, 6–1, 5–7, 6–2 to win the ladies' singles tennis title at the 2012 Wimbledon Championships. 2011 Wimbledon Championships – Women's Singles
Petra Kvitová defeated Maria Sharapova in the final, 6–3, 6–4 to win the ladies' singles title at the 2011 Wimbledon Championships. It was her first major title. Kvitová was the first player (men's or women's) born in the 1990s to win a major, the first Czech to win the title since Jana Novotná in 1998, and the first left-hander to win the title since Martina Navratilova in 1990. Dominika Cibulková (; born 6 May 1989) is a Slovak former professional tennis player. The WTA rankings are the Women's Tennis Association's (WTA) merit-based system for determining the rankings in women's tennis.
