The 2012 Rally México was the third round of the 2012 World Rally Championship (WRC) season. The rally took place between 8 and 11 March 2012. Results Event standings *This team does not score points in the PWRC championship. Special stages Power Stage The "Power stage" was a stage at the end of the rally. Championship standings after the event Drivers' championship Notes: *1 2 3 refers to the classification of the drivers on the 'Power Stage', where bonus points are awarded 3–2–1 for the fastest three drivers on the stage. Manufacturers' championship Notes: *† — The Mini WRC Team lost its manufacturer status in February when parent company BMW withdrew works support from the team, demoting them to customer team status. 2012 World Rally Championship Season
The 2012 World Rally Championship was the 40th season of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, FIA World Rally Championship. The season consisted of thirteen rallies, beginning with 2012 Monte Carlo Rally, Monte Carlo Rally on 17 January, and ending on 11 November with 2012 Rally Catalunya, Rally Catalunya. Sébastien Loeb won the drivers' championship for the ninth time in his career, ahead of Finns Mikko Hirvonen and Jari-Matti Latvala. Citroën World Rally Team, Citroën won the manufacturers' championship. Calendar The 2012 championship was contested over thirteen rounds in Europe, North America, South America and Oceania. Nasser Salih Nasser Abdullah Al-Attiyah ( : nāṣir ṣāliḥ nāṣir ʿabd allāh al-ʿaṭiyyah; born 21 December 1970 in Doha) is a Qatari rally driver and sport shooter. Borja Rozada (born 16 September 1981) is a Spanish rally co-driver. He is partnered with Dani Sordo for Hyundai Motorsport in the World Rally Championship category. Benito Iván Guerra Latapí (born 25 March 1985) is a Mexican rally driver competing for Citroën Racing, a privateer team in the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) in 2013, with his co-driver Borja Rozada. Ken Block
Kenneth Paul Block (November 21, 1967 – January 2, 2023) was an American professional Rallying, rally driver with the Hoonigan Racing Division, formerly known as the Monster World Rally Team. Block was also one of the co-founders of DC Shoes. He also competed in many action sports events, including skateboarding, snowboarding, and motocross. After selling his ownership of DC Shoes, Block shifted his business focus to Hoonigan Industries, an apparel brand for auto enthusiasts. He was the co-owner and "Head Hoonigan In Charge" (HHIC) at the company before his death in a snowmobile accident in January 2023. His daughter Lia Block is also a racing driver now. The Mini John Cooper Works WRC is a World Rally Car debuted by the Mini WRC Team during the 2011 World Rally Championship season. It is the first rally car to bear the Mini label in top-level rallying since the 1960s.
