2011–12 Tribute Cornwall League 2
The 2011–12 Tribute Cornwall League 2, was a full season of rugby union within Cornwall League 2. Due to restructuring, this was the first time the level ten league, which is within the English rugby union league system, ran since the 2008–09 season. Team Changes Camelford RFC were accepted into the league system for the first time, the other six teams were previously in Tribute Cornwall League One. The Cornwall League 1 2010–11 was a full season of rugby union within Cornwall League 1. Team changes Veor promoted as champions and Pirates Amateurs promoted to the Tribute Cornwall/Devon League, after beating Wessex ( Tribute Devon 1) in a playoff. St Day, Perranporth, Illogan Park, St Agnes and Redruth Albany are relegated to the re–formed Tribute Cornwall 2. Lankelly–Fowey withdrew during the season and their results were expunged from the table; they will start next season in Tribute Cornwall 2 as well. Counties 3 Cornwall (formerly known as Tribute Cornwall League 2) is an English level nine rugby union league for clubs based in Cornwall. The champions and runner-up are promoted to Counties 2 Cornwall (formerly Cornwall League 1); there is no relegation. The league ran continuously since 1987–88, except for a two-season break, when Cornwall 2 combined with Cornwall League 1 for seasons 2009–10 Cornwall League 1, 2009–10 and 2010–11 Cornwall League 1, 2010–11. The competition recommenced in 2011–12 Tribute Cornwall League 2, 2011–12 when it was decided to form two leagues of seven teams each. The Cornwall League 2 2008–09 was a full season of rugby union within Cornwall League 2. This was the last time Cornwall League 2 ran until the 2011-12 season, due to restructuring. Team Changes The number of teams in the Cornwall/Devon League increased from 12 teams to 16 for the following 2009-10 season, therefore the two Cornwall Leagues combined to form a single division of 12 teams, in Cornwall League 1. Camelford RFC
Camelford Rugby Football Club are an England, English and Rugby union in Cornwall, Cornish rugby union club that are based in the town of Camelford in north-east Cornwall and were founded in 2008. They currently operate a men's team that play in Cornwall League 2 - a league that is ranked at tier 10 of the English rugby union system. History Camelford RFC was formed in 2008. During the club's first two seasons they played friendly matches, mainly against Cornish opposition and in 2010 entered the Cornwall Merit Table, finishing 7th. 2011 was their first season in league rugby after being accepted to play in the Cornwall League 2, Tribute Cornwall League Two.
