2011–12 Swansea City A.F.C. Season
The 2011–12 season was Swansea City's third season in the first tier of English football, and their first return to top-flight football since 1983. During the 2010–11 in English football, 2010–11 season, Swansea finished in 3rd place and beat Reading F.C., Reading 4–2 in the Championship 2011 Football League Championship play-off Final, play-off final, to win promotion to the 2011–12 Premier League, Premier League. In doing so, they became the first Welsh team to enter the Premier League. Ashley Williams (footballer)
Ashley Errol Williams (born 23 August 1984) is a former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. After being released from West Bromwich Albion as a teenager, Williams played for non-league side Hednesford Town before turning professional at Stockport County in 2003, later becoming their captain. In March 2008, he was loaned to Swansea City, and after helping them win the League One title, signed for a then club record £400,000. He amassed 352 appearances for the Swans, scoring 14 goals. Luke Isaac Moore (born 13 February 1986) is an English former professional association football, footballer who played as a striker (association football), striker. He represented England at England national under-21 football team, England U21 level. He is the younger brother of former professional footballer Stefan Moore and uncle to current Aston Villa youth team player Kobei Moore. Leroy Halirou Bohari Lita (born 28 December 1984) is an English footballer who plays as a forward for club Barwell. Lita was a product of the Chelsea youth system but never made a first-team appearance for the club; in 2002, he moved to Bristol City and later represented Reading, where his form helped him earn a place with the England under-21 side. Garry Monk
Garry Alan Monk (born 6 March 1979) is an English football manager and former professional player who was most recently the head coach of club Cambridge United. Monk, a centre back, began his playing career with Torquay United before joining Southampton. In nearly eight years, he rarely appeared for the club, instead spending time on loan at Torquay United, Stockport County, Oxford United, Sheffield Wednesday and Barnsley. Wayne Neville Anthony Routledge (born 7 January 1985) is an English former professional footballer who played as a winger. He represented England at under-16, under-19 and under-21 level. Routledge began his career in London with Crystal Palace as a youth before making senior appearances with the first team. Stephen Dobbie
Stephen Dobbie (born 5 December 1982) is a Scottish former professional footballer. He is a first-team coach at Blackpool. Dobbie is Queen of the South's second-highest goalscorer of all time (166 goals) and the club's record scorer for a single season (43 goals in the 2018–19 season). David Joseph "Dai" Cornell (born 28 March 1991) is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for club Preston North End. He is a former Wales under-21 international. Nathan Antony Jonah Dyer (born 29 November 1987) is an English former professional footballer who played as a winger, spending most of his career at Swansea City, where he made over 300 appearances. Leon Britton
Leon James Britton (born 16 September 1982) is an English footballer and coach who last played for Swansea City. A midfielder, he spent most of his career with Swansea City, having joined the club on a permanent transfer in 2003. Britton went on to make 520 appearances for the club. He joined Sheffield United in the summer of 2010, but transferred back to Swansea in January 2011. Britton instantly became a central figure in Swansea's successful promotion campaign. Ferrie Bodde
Ferrie Bodde (born 5 May 1982) is a Dutch former footballer who played as a midfielder. He is currently a coach at Eredivisie team ADO Den Haag. Career ADO Den Haag Bodde started his senior career with Dutch side ADO Den Haag, signing professional forms with them in July 2000 at the age of 18.
