2011–12 Southampton F.C. Season
The 2011–12 season was Southampton F.C.'s 72nd and seventh consecutive season in The Football League, and their first in the Football League Championship, Championship since 2009. Having achieved promotion 2010–11 Southampton F.C. season, the previous season, the club were looking to retain their place in the second tier of English football and make progress towards their long-term aim of returning to the Premier League. The 2011–12 season was the first with new sponsor aap3, a Southampton-based company providing "business and IT solutions". Southampton began their #Pre-season, pre-season preparations in July with a two-game tour of Switzerland, in a similar fashion to the 2010–11 season. Later in the month, the club held the first edition of the Markus Liebherr Memorial Cup, inviting European teams to compete in a tournament in honour of former owner Markus Liebherr. Southampton is a port City status in the United Kingdom, city and unitary authority in Hampshire, England. It is located approximately southwest of London, west of Portsmouth, and southeast of Salisbury. Kelvin Davis (footballer)
Kelvin Geoffrey Davis (born 29 September 1976) is an English professional football manager and former footballer who is the manager of National League club Eastleigh. Davis played as a goalkeeper. He began his career with Luton Town as a youth player in 1991 and remained there until 1999. Davis later played for Wimbledon, Ipswich Town and Sunderland before moving to Southampton in 2006. Davis was team captain of Southampton from 2009 to 2012, after which he became club captain. From July 2016 to December 2017, Davis had been working as part of the support staff at Southampton. Jack William Saville (born 2 April 1991) is an English retired professional footballer who last played for Farnborough as a defender. Club career Southampton Saville joined Chelsea's academy from Reading Under-14's and played over 20 games in Chelsea's 2007–08 youth side before being promoted into their reserve team squad. He spent four years at the club before joining Southampton from Chelsea's youth system in March 2009. Shortly after, he progressed through the club's youth system and reserves. Billy Louis Sharp (born 5 February 1986) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for club Doncaster Rovers. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Alexander Mark David Oxlade-Chamberlain (born 15 August 1993) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Süper Lig club Beşiktaş.
