2011–12 Russian Football National League
The 2011–12 Russian National Football League the 20th season of Russia's second-tier football league since the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The season began on 4 April. Overview FC Zhemchuzhina-Sochi officially withdrew from the competition on 7 August 2011 due to lack of financing. Because they played more than half of their games, all their remaining opponents will be awarded a 3–0 victory. Russian National Football League
The Russian First League (, Pervaya liga), formerly called Russian First Division () and Russian Football National League (FNL) () is the second level of the Russian football league system. The Russian Professional Football League (PFL) used to run the division. Since 2011, it has been managed by the Football National League. The league consists of 18 clubs. After each season the two top clubs are promoted to the Premier League, and the bottom three clubs are relegated to the Second League. Third and fourth team play in home-and-away promotion play-offs against the 13th and 14th Premier League teams. Should one or more clubs not possess the required licence to participate for the upcoming season, the teams previously relegated are kept in the league instead, in the order of last season's standings. FC Ural Sverdlovsk Oblast
FC Ural Yekaterinburg () is a Russian professional association football club based in Yekaterinburg that plays in the Russian First League. History The club was founded in 1930 and was known as Avangard (1930–1948, 1953–1957), Zenit (1944–1946), Mashinostroitel (1958–1959), and Uralmash (1949–1952, 1960–2002). The club is currently named after the Russian region of Ural, where Yekaterinburg is the capital. The club participated in the Soviet championships beginning in 1945. Novorossiysk (, ; ) is a city in Krasnodar Krai, Russia. It is one of the largest ports on the Black Sea. It is one of the few cities designated by the Soviet Union as a Hero City. FC Chernomorets Novorossiysk () is the oldest Russian association football club based in Novorossiysk. It plays in the second-tier Russian First League. Baltika Stadium (, ) is a multi-purpose stadium in Kaliningrad, Russia, that was home to FC Baltika Kaliningrad. The 2010 Russian Premier League was the 19th season of the Russian Association football, football championship since the dissolution of the Soviet Union and ninth under the current Russian Premier League name. The season started on 12 March 2010 and the last matches were played on 29 November 2010. On 14 November 2010, FC Zenit Saint Petersburg, Zenit Saint Petersburg clinched the title after a 5–0 win against FC Rostov, Rostov.
